I just saw this photo in a weekend newspaper - it's a promotional photo of the French movie remake of The Lovers / Les Amants / Die Liebenden by Christophe Honoré.


The remake comes out in Europe this May. I haven't seen it yet, but it obviously features a scene with actor Chiara Mastroianni (daughter of Catherine Deneuve by the way) wearing an Oscar Wilde / Smiths Is Dead t-shirt.


No idea why - I have to see the movie I guess...

An anonymous person posted in the comments a link to a scene from the movie, the song includes the line "Heaven knows I'm miserable now".

It's the only reference to the Smiths in the movie.
