Anyone watching Johnny at Glasto?

Girl-Afraid

Least Likely To
He is on the John Peel stage right now, I'm sure it will be on YouTube/iplayer soon!
Opinions if you are watching?
I loved him doing Stop Me and Bigmouth...but it's still not Morrissey's voice. I wonder why they constantly play their old back catalogue of music? His guitar sounded f*cking amazing on Bigmouth though!

I kept half hoping Moz would walk on from the wings and take the mic from him halfway through bigmouth. Johnny would smile and carry on playing his guitar as exceptional as always ;) then they would both be where they belong.

New Town Velocity on right now, very enjoyable set so far.
There Is A Light still to come... :guitar:

I think Neil Tennant once said something like it was written with Morrissey in mind.

Perhaps he did, but still, can we be sure?
I love the song and always have done since the first time I've heard it.
Regardless of whether it is about Moz or not.

Well I thought it was all pretty bloody excellent.

It was very good indeed P.
Can't way to see him in Leeds in the autumn.
Are you going?

I'll try get a ticket closer to the date, not sure if I'll be in the country...

I thought the bloke in the crows with the Two Light Ales Please placard was a nice touch

Isn't it about Morrissey though?
Yay! How soon is now!

It is about Morrissey but I doubt that would be why Johnny was playing it. Getting Away With It was Electronic's only real hit, and definitely something different to the usual Smiths numbers

This actually made me cry (and not because of his voice, I got it in before you twits!). The crowd sings during the middle into the guitar outro and then the crowd continues to sing the chorus at 6:20 after everyone cheers. Truly amazing.
