SUPAHSTAR!
Ok, so here's the deal. I've been to AC before, but not for any long period of time, and I'm not too familiar with it. I'm going to the show at the Borgata on Thursday. Ideally I would love to just stay there overnight but its way too damn expensive. I need to find a cheap hotel (cheap meaning under $100) but not too shady, not TOO far from Borgata, AND if possible, not TOO far from the Greyhound bus station in AC. (Because I suck and don't own a car.) and when I say not "too far" I realize that they're not all gonna be within walking distance, and i'll probably have to take cabs, but I don't wanna spend all my money on cabs ya know? I also know there's some sort of shuttle service, but I'm not sure on where they go to and from exactly.

Anyone familiar with AC who knows where all these places are and could possibly suggest something??? anyone else going to the show already book a room somewhere and could recommend it? are peeps just camping out on the beach?? HALP MEH, I NEED HALP!!! :o

Hi Nugz, I was in a similar situation. There's lots of places online that you can find your hotel. Orbitz is one. I used different services with different results and I don't have time to look and see which ones I liked. Make sure to see how far away it is with google maps and maybe check public transportation. I stayed in a cheap Best Western in Reno/Sparks but then there was no bus or train and I had to take cabs so I could have spent the money on the room instead and been in a better room closer to the show. I'll try to answer more later or maybe someone can help. Some of these discount services don't really save you money because they charge a fee, but you can get a good list of hotels by price and location with pictures of the rooms. That's a lot better than just looking in the yellow pages. Good luck.

Atlantic City has a lot of cheapo deals to lure people into the casinos, I'd check them out. THere are also those deals the old people take - bus to and from, hotel, some tokens. Check out the weekend newspapers' travel section. I don't know where you live in Jersey, but it was always in the Star Ledger and Post. Also, Dave's correct about Orbitz.
