Amongst the 'outrage' at Morrisseys' 'controversial' comments towards his former head teacher, the following appeared on the diary page of today's Manchester Evening News (the diary page is the showbiz gossip page).
Former Smiths guitarist, Andy Rourke, was amongst the crowd braving the summer cold to watch Morrissey headlining the Move Festival last night.
But it wasn't just nostalgia that brought Andy out to support his old band mate. Complete with camera crew, he was busy recording footage for a new DVD on life after The Smiths.
The documentary, which should be out to buy in February, follows Andy and former drummer Mike Joyce, who also still lives in Manchester.
It is being made by Steve Petricco's Fab Cafe Films, an offshoot of his Portland Street bar, where Andy DJ's, and is being edited by Mark Standley, former lead singer of Manchester punk band V2.
