... and yesterday the sister of a friend died; 30 years old.
I probably don't even remember ALL the friends or people I know who died because of Covid during 2020.
If I compare it to previous years, none of my friends died before 2020... except a few ones who commited suicide (long time ago, mostly when I was a teen) or a few ones who died in car accidents.
The ones who insist that Covid does not kill people probably deserve... hmmm... a president like Trump.

When the virus swept through the Diamond Princess cruise ship - about 700 people on board tested positive and 9 died. You do the math. 9 is 9 too many - but the idea that we should be shutting down the economy is crazy. Lockdowns will kill more than the virus - from missed cancer diagnosis and heart disease and mental illness and suicide.

This is indeed the case.

Shortly before he died, earlier this year, we were told my dad had Covid-19 on two occasions, once in April and once in August. We wanted tests on each occasion; he was tested on each occasion—and proved negative each time.

In April he was ultimately treated for a urinary infection and made a good recovery. In August he was ultimately diagnosed with pneumonia; he was treated and responded but medicines were ultimately withdrawn—for reasons which would bring their own controversy.

After the withdrawal of medication he died: Frankly it was a relief as I was getting sick (nearly to the point of death) with people speculating falsely that he had the coronavirus. There are many people with similar stories.

I will conclude by saying that on the second occasion he was falsely diagnosed with Covid, he was placed on a Covid ward: half the patients did actually have it; it was guess work with the other half. Insane doesn’t cover it. Shield your eyes and ears if you don’t like it, but the word ‘Covid’ is covering up a thousand sins.

I'm very sorry for your loss and the circumstances surrounding your fathers death.
The elderly are pawns in all of this and have been abandoned to their fate from the start, when they have been the ones most at risk. It's unbelievable to witness the complacency of the "moral" majority who accept the official narrative without question.

Of course, the problem is that the Black Plague isn't around these days; most people will never face a situation in which they have to fight with 10 hungry lions... and I don't know anyone who is drinking a glass of liquid mercury per day. So we have a problem.

Anyway, all the governments have been very stupid. The lockdowns that last months and months don't make a lot of sense. It would be easier if the governments had simply decided to make a very strict lockdown for 20 days... and a paranoid control of the health of those who are excepted from the lockdown.

Nobody "insists Covid doesn't kill people." But what IS worth being said is that while all Covid deaths are unfortunate (and all Covid deaths can be blamed on communist China) the projected death rate when this began is still nowhere near being reached and the sheer fact of the matter is that while C19 has a high contagion rate, the death rate - hell, even the rate of serious manifestation of symptoms- is insanely low in proportion to confirmed infections.

I love how dressing like a goddamned Islamic dental hygienist ninja, though, is still a mandated thing.

The infection rate is arguably higher than ever even after mandated masks became ubiquitous, what, two months ago now? So, the masks are what, basically a lucky rabbit's foot?

I see many theories here undermining the seriousness of the pandemic. As far as I know from doctors , the health service in my country simply ceases to exist ... take care of yourself and your loved ones. Whatever Morissey says in the awaited interview.

I.e, during the previous dance we filmed (things have gone somehow virtual), she was convinced that it would look better with a top, I saw the whole thing through the camera and I suggested that she should do it again without the top; then, when we compared the two versions, the topless one was by far better.

It's hard to determine if lockdown policies around the world are being driven by hysteria and bad science, or something much more sinister. It does feel like democracy has been the biggest victim of the pandemic around the world. The ease with which we have moved to government by decree is scary. In Wales the government is telling you what you can and cannot buy ffs. Crazy.
