If you don't like being called English, maybe don't act like the most boring little England grass, the type who gets more annoyed by some painting on a building than they do about try death of animals for food.

I bet you're one of those guys who posts on local community Facebook groups, demanding that kids stop hanging out on the streets or stop playing ball games on a field. Proper miserable English type you, comes across in almost every message you post on here. I love it, keep it up Englishman.

Plants are living things, but they aren’t sentient. They don’t have brains or a central nervous system. They don’t suffer, so you can’t be cruel to them.

Animals act on instinct. They don’t have ethics. Your arguments on this subject are repeatedly ill-considered and idiotic, Johnnie. You should quit while you’re behind.
Hold on Aubrey! Morrissey wants us to treat animals the same as humans (if not better) but they get a free pass for killing other animals and in some cases humans? He can't have it both ways. That is my opinion. I guess cows and chickens have a legitimate gripe but alligators, bears, mountain lions, sharks, etc. no way!

Johnnie, it’s impossible you’re offering this argument with any seriousness. You’re a middle-aged man. You have to know that animals don’t have ethics. You’re just being a little bitch for the sake of it, I’m sure. Funny enough, I guess, but get real.

Is 'half the meat' too much of a compromise? - https://earthbound.report/2023/09/19/what-about-half-the-meat/

While this would not put animal rights first, stats shown and stated are interesting, I think.

This guy plugs away steadily, open-mindedly and courteously to share possible solutions to real problems.

And ultimately millions of people choosing to eat less meat will have a greater impact than thousands of people eating none at all.” In theory that’s true, but if they’re willing to eat less, then why can’t they eat none? What kind of snowflakes are these people?

I’m not inclined to campaign for reducitarianism. Let Johnnie “eat the hell out of animals” if that’s what his morals permit. There’s probably an unintended benefit to the animals in meat-eaters eating meat. If climate change is to cause our extinction, then the greater anyone’s individual contribution, the more it might spare future animals their suffering (would our species otherwise persist). Thinking on it, Saddam Hussein’s oil field fires were a glorious thing.

Just a second thought on the article, goinghome. "Sales of meat alternatives are falling." Not that the world would go vegan otherwise, but it's difficult for a nascent product to succeed when the competition is subsidized by the government and has the deep pockets to fund deceptive propaganda. The Backlash to Plant-Based Meat Has a Sneaky, if Not Surprising, Explanation.
You are quite right, Aubrey. Thanks for persuasive article. And now maybe a couple more people know about this and will think about it because we talked about it :tiphat:

One should not kill a living being,
nor cause it to be killed,
nor should one incite another to kill.
Do not injure any being, either strong or weak, in the world.
