I few years ago, maybe 4, there was a song by Morrissey played on BBC Radio 1, it went somithing like "oh Melanie, oh Melanie" and if I remember correctly Melanie was a scag head. The song was promoted on the station as Morrisseys new single but it was never released and I have not heard it since.

Does any one have any further thoughts on this, or know where I can get a copy of the song?
mail me please!

Re: A song about Herion 'Sunny?'

hmmm... the only Morrissey song i know of about a heroin addict would be "Sunny" (1994 - released '95).

maybe you heard wrong...

Nope, there is another one.

No, maybe you heard wrong, fancy pants. "Lucky Lisp" is about taking Exstacy in the nightclubs. And "There is a Place.." is about wanting to take drugs, but not having the smarts on where to buy them.

I know the song you are talking about, I have it on tape. It's not Morrissey though. It sounds a bit like him but I feel you can tell it's not him. Some kind of gag that went around I guess.

How is that song about trying to buy drugs?

sorry, my mistake...

ohh, i see...

by the way, everyone, "Sing Your Life" is about the Mars Polar Lander, "Suedehead" is about having tea with the Queen, & "My Love Life" is about French Dada artist Marcel Duchamp.
