Question A question about The Queen is Dead (track)

William Fisher

Listening face down
A question about the start of the Queen is Dead - not Take Me Back to Dear Old Blighty - not "all the lies about make up and long hair..." but the voice immediately before Morrissey sings "Farewell..."
  • Is it Morrissey's voice sped up?
  • What is it saying? Sounds like "go out..."?
Anybody know?

I think I've figured it out. Is it "Go out - bless them"?

This has been debated previously and the correct answer is:
"By land, by sea".
Which sounds like '... bless them' or 'testing' and was passed around by lyric sites.

Solution
What’s the lies about make up bit?

...these are the things that kill me
All the lies about makeup and long hair are still there
Passed the pub...
