Morrisey plays Preston

Pop legend Morrissey is to perform in Preston for the first time since 1986.

The singer will play at the Guild Hall on Friday, September 10, as part of his You Are The Quarry tour.
The Preston date is one of three added to the end of his tour schedule after demand for his other concerts proved so high.
The former Smiths frontman is due at Blackpool's Empress Ballroom on Saturday, September 4, but the concert is already sold out.
Alan Baker, general manager at the Guild Hall, said: "This is a nice little coup for
Preston. We don't get enough of these kinds of stars coming to the city.
"We are hoping to announce two more big names in the coming weeks."
News of Morrissey's appearance has music fans in a frenzy with scores of people ringing the Guild Hall box office for details of the concert.
Staff are expecting to be run off their feet when tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow.
Tickets will cost £27.50, making them some of the most expensive on offer at the venue this season. But organisers have no doubt all 2,000 will be snapped up.
Morrissey and The Smiths were recently named the number one artists in the UK by music magazine NME.
But things had gone all quiet on the Morrissey solo front over recent years with fans fearing the star would not be heard from again.
He made a comeback in 2002 with a series of homecoming concerts, before announcing this new UK tour and a new album.
The album, You Are The Quarry, is his first new work for seven years and has been hailed as a return to form.
The second single, First Of The Gang, which is out now, has enjoyed relentless airplay since its release.

The Queen Is Dead
The set was terminated after only one song because the band were confronted with skinheads who threw objects on stage until a sharpened coin wounded Morrissey.
