Moz Fans,
I just completed Acting//Singing in a fun musical called "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" in Malibu, CA and last week I decided to wear one of my Smiths T-Shirts before/after the show. After the evening's show one of my castmates, Jennifer Holland-Still, commented that she had actually spoken with Morrissey himself back in the day!

So the story goes that in the early 90's she was working at the record label that Moz was with and someone handed her the phone and said that the Pope pf Mope himself was on the line and was alone and needed some help getting through LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) ... so she proceeded to talk him through the places he needed to go. She said he was very polite and funny and that he was by no means "helpless" for the 1/2 hour she was on the phone with him- she was just excited to talk to him and give him his info when he arrived!
Interesting little story I thought!!

in my final scene my character is in his 70's and we went for a bite to eat right after the show... I played 8 different characters ranging in ages from 20-something to 70-something
