Would anyone happen to have the new Monochrome Set disc "Platinum Coils" that they'd be willing to kindly upload for me?

Oh, good idea.

not exactly what you are looking for, but related...

"An excellent session broadcast last week in the Mark Riley show on BBC 6 Music.
Unusually for a band which have been knocking around since the late nineteen seventies they still make interesting records.
The four tracks which make up this session are versions of tracks from their new album "Platinum Coils" which is the bands tenth album and will be released on 1st April."

I actually downloaded this last night, but thanks :)
They're still such a f***ing tight group. You'd think a brain aneurysm or whatever it is that Bid had would've turned him into Kid Parkinsons, but man has he still got it.

my list of 2012 faves is up 4 now:
LanaDelRey_BornToDie.jpg

WhatWeSawFromTheCheapSeatsCover.jpg

Fall_to_Grace.jpg

& now adding to these 3, an album of true melancholy
The_Idler_Wheel.jpg

4 tracks in particular stand out for me:
Anything We Want, Valentine, Every Single Night, Hot Knife

1. The Heartbreaks - Funtimes
2. The Shins - Port of Morrow
3. The Crookes - Hold Fast
4. Maximo Park - The National Health
5. Animal Kingdom - The Looking Away

For the time being I have only three finds:
• The Heartbreaks: Funtimes
• Patti Smith: Banga
• Leonard Cohen: Old Ideas

It's not necesserely the order of my preference.

A few additions, discovered since last:

I liked "Bloom" a lot, too.

Hot Chip's "In Our Heads" is brilliant.

I'm also liking the new albums from Eternal Summers and Laetitia Sadier.

Hey, I bought some Jack at your recommendation. Not bad!

My new fav of the year is Ceremony by Anna von Hausswolff. Von Hausswolff sounds like a goth Kate Bush and with the main instrument of the record being a church organ it sounds like a cross between pop and church music. Sublime is too weak a word to describe Ceremony.

Glad to hear it! Pioneer Soundtracks?

I didn't know Hot Chip had a new one out - more food for the playlist, along with ES and Sadler.

Pond - Beard, Wives, Denim
Sun Kil Moon - Among the Leaves

Really looking forward to the new Tame Impala album.
