2011 Tour

York Barbican is up on Ticketmaster but f*** it says "seated". I hope Grimsby or Bradford is standing.

it will show another link, York - Standing

well it should anyway.

I warn you that people who come to Grimsby and Bradford are very rough.

But there's nowhere else to go. Except for Scotland.

Whats the best way to get to Hawick? The nearest train staion is over 40 miles away. Thanks.

I think that a warning to be careful is suitable for any Morrissey gig - why single out those cities. Harsh.

It is well known fact that people in the north tend to be very rough during the gigs, better to warn people travelling from abroad.

The Cat's Mother who lives in Hull and absent user Hatfull who is originally from Bradford posted that they're crashed in those venues in 2006 gigs.

And as a glaswegian living in London, I find most of the crowds at gigs down here preoccupied with chatting and taking pics and using their phones. Pretty much NOT getting involved and participating at all.

A York Barbican standing has now been put up on Ticketmaster

I still think that if people use their common sense and think about the size of the venues on any of the upcoming dates, they'll realise that it's gonna be a bit of a crush no matter where you are.

Well, well, well . . . Mr Dowie isn't going to be very happy with me when he gets home. Just booked 2 tickets for Hawick despite promising that I would only get York tickets tomorrow . . . I just couldn't bear to see them sitting there on Ticketmaster, waiting for a kindly soul like myself to buy them. I really thought they'd all be sold out by now, like.

I'll try not to behave properly and not push and shove - being the northern ruffian that I am, that may well prove difficult . . .

I don't especially appreciate the way that TicketMaster differentiate between the shows in Scotland and those in 'Great Britain'. Last time I looked Scotland is part of Great Britain, at least until the puddin'-face Salmond swine rips us out of it.
The Yorkshire shows should be listed as 'England'.
I think I'll return my Scotch tickets in protest...;)

'pudding face' is bang on, but 'scotch' is way off...its scottish.

Northern Men are all Latte drinking, Manbag wearing Hommes du Monde these days. The smell of moisturiser will be strong, especially in Grimsby! :D

quite - The chatting and phone shit has caught on pretty well up in Scotland too I'm afraid. The phones are annoying but people chatting does my head in.

I was at the Armadillo to see FOTC and then down here for one of the Wembley Arena shows. The decorum shown by both audiences was markedly different. Surely some sort of charter of acceptable behaviour, like the the one drawn up by Kermode and Mayo for cinema going, needs to be sorted out. Either that or we take matters into our own hands! Again.
