Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

I recall his gripe over the appalling artwork for Live At Earls Court in Autobiography, complete with unflattering photo, so why oh why does he allow shite like this to come out, if the artwork supposedly means so much to him?

Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

No point getting one's hopes up for the 'special' shows, even if they go ahead it'll be the same sort of setlist we got last summer with hardly any nod towards BWD. You watch.

    Nah, that's Paul Merton

Dana Gillespie announces new studio album, "First Love" (includes "Spent The Day In Bed", out May 31, 2024)

Who is this old crone? Why would we want to hear someone older than our grans singing Gods and Monsters: "f*** yeah give it to me this is heaven what I truly want..."

Record Collector: Jim Reid (The Jesus And Mary Chain) on The Smiths debut album

However, if we're talking other debuts, Delays' 'Faded Seaside Glamour' will always hold a special place in my heart and life. Perfect, dreamy synth indie pop. Like if the aforementioned Cocteau Twins had a baby with The Las. I frigging loved Delays, their lead singer is so sorely missed. Such...

Record Collector: Jim Reid (The Jesus And Mary Chain) on The Smiths debut album

You know, the debut is my least-liked Smiths record. I don't like early Morrissey's voice, and songs like the hand that rocks the cradle and suffer little children just do nothing for me.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

She's weird herself. Her 'jokes' aren't funny in this show, she strikes me as pretentious. She's gone to great pains at least twice to point out that Roald Dahl was an anti semite, when his name or work was referenced in a question. There was just no need to add the comments on. Strange cookie.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

'Only Connect' last Monday, 'Boxers' was a clue where the connection was songs about fighting. Annoying Victoria Coren Mitchell had to chime in "that was boxers by morrissey... He's gone a bit weird lately, hasn't he??".

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

Wasn't a video shoot no show one of Johnny's tipping points? Where Moz wouldn't come out the house.

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

Another world aka a world where he was relevant, made good music and wasn't an unreliable c***.

Factory International: "A night with The Johnny Marr Orchestra" (on December 7-8, 2023)

Finally got my print back from the framers. Bought it for 25 quid on the night. Could've got ten of them for the price of my signed Viva Hate that I bought in July! Sorry for the poor phone shot!

Morrissey Central "RW" (January 31, 2024)

The same ones he puts photographs of himself with on his singles and posts videos of them wearing his t shirts on his shitty website? He clearly thinks they're worth his time. If not, why bother giving them any coverage whatsoever?

    Fiona Dodwell: “Truth-Tellers Silenced” (December 29, 2023)

He gets his band to wear f*** TRUMP shirts but supports far right crazies in the UK. He's no truth-teller, he's a muddled old queen who has lost his way and wants to blame everyone else. He used to be a champion of the downtrodden, the forgotten, the misfit, now he's just a typical GB News...

Morrissey concert in Auckland, NZ - cancelled

Hardly a surprise, treats his fans like dirt and plays what he wants, when he wants/deigns to grace us with his presence as if we're all so lucky just to share a room with him. Silly little Steven from Stretford really hasn't changed. Meanwhile Johnny Marr plays two sellout homecoming shows to...

Morrissey Central "Norman Lear dies, aged 101" (December 8, 2023)

And this relates to Morrissey how? He was just a fan? Sometimes I really don't get him anymore.

Factory International: "A night with The Johnny Marr Orchestra" (on December 7-8, 2023)

Also credit to Johnny for doing the crowd pleasers. He said in the week to Vernon Kay that of course they'd do crowd pleasers because 'people deserve it because they're good people' or something. Top man. I honestly don't recall seeing so many happy people leaving a show for a long time.

Factory International: "A night with The Johnny Marr Orchestra" (on December 7-8, 2023)

It was incredible to say the least. You really notice the strings on songs like There is a Light, or Last night I dreamt etc. But the way they were used to augment such as Please please please or HSIN was genius. Very well done.
