Anyone watching the Baftas? Apparently Nomadland's cinematographer Joshua James Richards quoted Morrissey in his acceptance speech.
Update:
Now a Central post.
Morrissey Central: "BAFTA AWARDS 2021" - April 12, 2021
Morrissey is a nice man. Apparently, and I am allowed to say this on this site, but Skinny is a complete and utter twat who has never achieved anything.
There is a new episode of Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror called Hang The DJ which will be interesting...

"Trying to meet Cave eye-to-eye in any conversation about his lost son Arthur induces a feeling akin to stage fright. Yet he has been relentlessly upbeat for the shows on this tour so far, as if released of a burden and obviously glad to be performing again. Seeing him backstage after these...
A four star review in The Guardian...

Just when you think human warmth is in short supply on Morrissey's new album, the old devil can still spring a surprise

Series: Alexis Petridis's album of the week
Great stuff. Thanks for posting that. Interesting that the often Moz-baiting Harris notes that "2014 arguably finds Morrissey's esteem at an all-time high..."
Any Cinerama fans out there? I'm finding it difficult to track down some of the later tracks from just before they morphed back into the Wedding Present. In particular I'm looking for studio versions of "It's Not You, It's Me" (which was a vinyl only single, I think) and "The One That Got Away"...
The Reel Around The Fountain promo is up for sale at £1,500 on ebay. Is it the genuine article?

In case you've missed it, two Alain demos have supposedly been leaked: "When I Was Young" and "I Was Bully, Do Not Forget Me".

I idly wondered what people thought of them...
Here's an attempt to come up with an equally strong 18 track Best Of compilation for the HMV/Parlophone years - featuring none of the songs on the official release.
1. I Know Very Well How I Got My Name
2. Speedway
3. Angel, Angel, Down We Go Together
4. Hairdresser On Fire
5. The...
Just been listening to the Bona Drag samples on iTunes. All sound very good, of course. But is it my ears or is that a totally different version of Oh Phoney?
I've noticed that recent Morrissey covers seem to acknowledge a lyrical/muscial debt to a particular song. Back in the day he did this with His Latest Flame/Rusholme Ruffians, of course, but of late I've noticed:
Subway Train = My Love Life
Song From Under The Floorboards = Speedway
Nothing...
Does anyone have the 1997 KROQ session featuring, I think:
01 - Maladjusted
02 - Roy´s Keen
03 - Trouble Loves Me
04 - Satan Rejected My Soul
05 - Alma Matters
The newly readjusted Maladjusted has made me keen to hear them again, but I can't find them anywhere...
I was thinking it would be really nice if Moz brought out a new b-side compilation of previously uncollected tracks from 1997 onwards. But then when I looked at the list I wondered how anyone would go about selecting and sequencing a 16 track collection from such an abundance of riches. I wonder...
I don't know whether it's common knowledge around here, but Morrissey Twitters every now and again and seems to be (vaguely) answering questions...
Still much undone. Happy to attempt to continue answering questions until we start the tour- but after, all bets are off. Sing! xoMORRISSEY...
