New Moz photo by Andrew Quinn - "on Cut Throat Lane"

I'm just waiting on him to finally turn up in Emmerdale.

Looks like he's lost a bit of timber. He's looking well.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

The operator of The Dobby Club page has very strong opinions on things, and all of them are trash.

Morrissey Central "FRIDAY 26 JULY" (April 13, 2024)

Re-issue, re-package, re-package. Still, good news about the gigs - if they happen. I'll need to see Moz actually fulfill some tour dates before I take the plunge and buy tickets to any others.

    Johnny Marr 2024 UK Tour

These reviewers are utterly obsessed with Morrissey. "Oooh Morrissey's awful, Marr is much better than Morrissey, Morrissey isn't very good at all, really - but let's keep talking about Morrissey..." Tragic.

Mozarmy: "All About Andy" event lineup revealed (April 7, 2024)

For years I thought he was!

Mozarmy: "All About Andy" event lineup revealed (April 7, 2024)

Mike Joyce is there, which means Morrissey won’t be.

"Viva Hate": Royally Absent in The Recent "Uncut: 500 Greatest Albums Of The 1980s'' (January 2024)

I am also surprised at this. I thought Vauxhall and even Quarry would have sold more. I say "even" not as a slight against the quality of the album, but simply because buying albums was less of a thing with the general public in 2004 than it was in the 80s and 90s.

Taz: Courtney Taylor-Taylor (Dandy Warhols) on Morrissey (March 24, 2024)

Always liked the Dandy Warhols. "You Were the Last High" and "We Used to be Friends" are great songs.

Morrissey Central "DANA GILLESPIE" (March 26, 2024)

In Mike Baldwin and soul, in part and in whole.

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

I believe this is correct. Johnny had to cover for him and apologise to everyone involved in the shoot. By summer 1987 he got tired of covering for him and that was the end of The Smiths.

Morrissey Central "ANOTHER WORLD." (March 5, 2024)

Morrissey has been unreliable going back to his Smiths days. There was supposed to be a music video made for either Sheila or Shoplifters, and Morrissey didn’t bother turning up, so one was never made.

UK Rock'N'Roll Magazine issue 238: Boz Boorer interview (February 19, 2024)

I find it so completely odd that there was no announcement on Moz Central when Boz stopped working with Morrissey, especially if it was amicable. Even a "Boz is stepping back from the band to spend more time at home, Morrissey wishes to sincerely thank Boz for the last 30 years" sort of thing...

BBC: "Steve Wright: Radio 2 presenter dies aged 69" (February 13, 2024)

Whilst Morrissey may have felt playing “I’m Your Man” after news of the Chernobyl disaster was rather insensitive of Wright, I don’t think he held any ill will against him. The “Hang The DJ” t shirt was just pantomime really. Wright played a lot of Morrissey’s singles and I think Morrissey...

Johnny Marr appearing on Would I Lie To You (February 9, 2024)

I'm a huge fan of Peep Show, Not Going Out and The Trip (and Rob Brydon generally) so WILTY is right up my street. Having Johnny on was just the icing on the cake. He seemed a little nervous, but most of the non comedian guests they have on usually are. It isn't their comfort zone. Everyone...
