It was a really good gig. Thoroughly exhausted and elated this morning.
The Apollo is reminiscent of the Brixton Academy, a similarly suitable venue for our Moz.
The atmosphere was really good, the crowd were all in early and in anticipation of an energetic night, and indeed it was...
A beautiful moment. Thank you for sharing. I completely agree with what you say, we are part of a really special community and Mozzer's concerts are the high point of that sense of togetherness.
Roll on London in September!
The backdrop looks really good. Can't make out who it is from the youtube clips, any ideas?
The song that precedes the band's arrival is the Imperfect List by Big Hard Excellent Fish. I think Moz's old chum Jake was involved in the band/song in some way.
Really great night! Brixton is a great venue with the sloping floor which means you get a good view from anywhere.
Moz was on great form and pretty chatty. He said that he didn't think Cameron had ever been to Tottenham. He also said that when Charles and Camel came face to face with student...
Well, another brilliant night on this tour (and, indeed, every tour!) from the mighty Mozzer.
The set was comprised of the songs that he has been doing recently; 'Panic' was the one addition to the pool. I am perhaps not remembering correctly but I think 'The Kid's a Looker' came before...
Very much agree with the above. This site has been well run, is a great source of Moz news from around the world and has many great qualities, it is spoilt by people coming on and slagging off Morrissey or settling odd vendettas with one another.
Had a really good time at York last night. Went with my wife, my cousin and his wife - it was her first gig and she is a convert, especially to how good he looks!!!
Last night was up there with the best, great fun and really friendly people. It was nice to meet Irregular Regular before the...
It's brilliant to read so many positive comments and the setlist does look terrific.
Thanks for all the youtube clips.
I can't wait for York next weekend and Hop farm the weekend after.
Hopefully then he'll be back in the recording studio in the autumn....
Completely agree with the above, Matt is a brilliant drummer and Solomon is fantastic on stage - especially when strumming his bass to 'one day goodbye will be farewell' right above a moody bouncer's head!!! Solomon gets my vote.
Gary was ace and was a major part of Moz's solo direction...
I must say that I find old Mozzer so funny in interviews! He always turns the interview round onto the host and always gives amusing, unexpected and prickly answers. He gives short shrift to people who do not know their stuff or do not do their research (e.g. the 'Meltdown' question) or just ask...
Brilliant news!!!!
It'll be interesting to see what direction Moz and the boys go in after the "play it loud" energy and excellence of 'Years of Refusal'.
I also wonder what the Alain/Boz/Jesse co-writing split will be?!
While I have been interested in the re-issues (especially 'happy...
