Beirut - postcards from italy
Stunningly beautiful song, that I cannot stop listening to.
For anyone who haven't discovered this artist yet; now is the time!
I have been thinking about this subject for a while now, and come to the conclusions that probably even conservatives can relate to Morrissey at a lot of levels - at the very least to his wit (which can be interpreted in any direction, and probably gives different funny meanings to everybody)...
No Morrissey or Smiths songs are goth. I wouldn't say that the Cure are goth, either (even though they're labelled the godfathers of goth). Ok, some Cure songs are what you could call goth, but those are the definetely exceptions.
Oh yes.
It was my way into music, and I can't just forget about them like nothing happened.
Sadly, I never really listen to them anymore. I'll have to put on Faith, and see if it still does it for me...
Just discovered this band, and I can't praise them enough! Any Of Montreal fans on the forum?
Anybody's got the song called Every Day feels Like Sunday? Would be funny to hear it.
AVC: The bonus EP that came with Sunlandic had a song called “Every Day Feels Like Sunday.” Is that a...
Wow, Broder Daniel! Years since I listened to BD. Used to be fond of them during my worst Håkan Hellström years, but they're a little..... well; boring? whining? cliché?
Oooh, Black Eyed Susan!
Wierd? really?
Anyhow, I'd say that it's one of his most beautiful solo efforts... "Black Eyed Susan, rest and do nothing, cause it's the only thing that you do quite well".
In "Bikubesong" (which by the way the author labelled a Smiths album in the shape of a book, and which also made Morrisseys name known to a lot of people in Norway, as the book and the play that followed became a huge success) the "person" who mentioned Morrissey having had a girlfriend, surely...
You kidding me?
100% for snus? It must cost the same as here in Norway, then!
What a terrible travesty... No use in wisiting Sweden any more
I saw him for the first time i April this year, in Mozlo.
It was a rather surreal experience... I had so many expectations, and expected to be carried away to heaven right a way. And for a few moments it seemed like that was about to happen, as he entered the stage after this thrilling and...
It somehow relieves me that we have him for ourselves, in a way. Imagine how horrible it would be if everybody had bought ROTT. But on the other side, I always want him to be the biggest, so it's hard to really be happy about it whatever happens...
Porl is back, though. It'll be interesting to hear the next album, which has now been delayed about a year already. I don't however have too high expectations for the album. At least they'll probably be touring again.
Yes, I loved it straightaway!
This is the kind of song I've been hoping him to do since I started listening to the man. Wonderful!
To compare the music with something, it sort of reminds me of Mercury Rev.
