"Boxers" video star speaks out - Cornelius Carr's tale of 'more publicity from starring in Morrissey video than winning British title' - Teesside Live

Kenny Lane. Kenny Lane was a southpaw (left handed) boxer. He fought for lightweight and light welterweight titles of the world, once against Joe Brown and twice against Carlos Ortiz.

"Boxers" video star speaks out - Cornelius Carr's tale of 'more publicity from starring in Morrissey video than winning British title' - Teesside Live

That's right. He was interviewed at the piano and there were two twittering twats tittering tediously behind him. Moz looked ace. Now is the time to release Southpaw on lovely orange yellow red splatter vinyl.

Which record label should release "Bonfire Of Teenagers"?

I don't think most radio stations are physically capable of playing good music because most DJs haven't a clue about music, won't touch anyone even mildly controversial, can't handle a song with lyrics that are not "i love you", and assume listeners are the same. Radio presenters like John Peel...

Morrissey Central "Meat Loaf. RIP." (January 21, 2022)

Not to cause a row here on a condolence thread but Covid has been stamped on a lot of deaths. If you question it you're burned at the stake.

It's a love/hate relationship. He loves the loaf side.

Morrissey Central "Meat Loaf. RIP." (January 21, 2022)

Michael Lee Aday, aka Meat Loaf, always seemed like a regular nice guy in interviews. I'm sad he has passed away. The whole Covid debate is irrelevant. The world lost a nice man.

What song are you listening to right now?

'Leaves' by Blancmange from the superlative Wanderlust album. One of my fav albums of all time.

Eddie Vedder re: Bonfire Of Teenagers: "some of the best Morrissey stuff I’d heard in years" / Andrew Watt confirmed as producer (January 14, 2022)

I have no interest in other musicians talking about Moz or a new Moz album unless it means it could be close to a release. UNLESS I loved their music and respected their opinions. For example I wouldn't care what E.V. or Billy Eilish or M.Cyrus or E.Sheeran or K.West or any of that lot think...

He's worked with a lot of useless but mega selling x-factor type singer celebrities. You'd wonder why Moz picked him or why he'd pick Moz. Hopefully the result is unexpectedly brilliant.

Did you ever get in the car outside work and next thing you're parking at home with no recollection of the journey? Used to happen to me sometimes when I used to travel to and from work.

I reckon he's mixing up our Moz with Jim Morrisson. Would explain the "best he's done in years" comment.

Express: "The Smiths split ‘bruised me emotionally, it turned to s*** with Morrissey’ – Johnny Marr" via Uncut Magazine (January 13, 2022)

What?! THE THE, some Electronic songs, soundtrack work such as Inception, some of his solo work, not to mention the other bands he's worked with.

Exactly. Just in time for the new 2LP Fever Dreams. Just mention Morrissey and you'll multiply the interest. There is only one thing in life worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about. Oscar Wilde

Rev Richard Coles (ex-Communards) - "The song I can no longer listen to"

I'm saying he didn't bash anyone. Calling it bashing is exaggeration to the nth degree. He said he didn't find Moz charming. On a scale of 1 to 10 it's 0.5 at best. Collins dictionary definition: To bash someone means to criticize them severely, usually in a public way.

Rev Richard Coles (ex-Communards) - "The song I can no longer listen to"

Well now. I can imagine the conversation after a night out: " Jaysus I'm never going out for a drink again. I got a right bashing. Totally uncalled for too, I might add." "Ooh no. What happened. Did you need stitches? I don't see a bruise. You poor thing. WHAT did they do?" "Bastards bashed me...

Rev Richard Coles (ex-Communards) - "The song I can no longer listen to"

But did Richard Coles 'bash' Morrissey? I think he just said Morrissey had "ceased to be charming for me". That is a far cry from the abusive posts on this site about Richard.

Imagine if a planet killing asteroid hit Earth while we're trying to decipher your post above? What a waste of the last few seconds of life. p.s. I just might be getting thicker as I get older. That would explain a lot too.
