Morrissey Central "MORRISSEY NEW ALBUM" (May 30, 2021)

I think that could come down to Low In High School, and that motif kind of connecting with teenagers. Just an unfortunate cerebral connection is all, I think.

Morrissey Central "THE BOYS IN THE BAND" (July 19, 2021)

Embarrassing confession time: when I saw this news title I was sure it was a lyric from a song. I could even hum it in my head. “…the boys in the band…”. Then I realised what I was thinking of was “…so he drove me home in the van…” - Lol.

Morrissey Central "MORRISSEY NEW ALBUM" (May 30, 2021)

I have a feeling this album is going to be extra terrific for some reason. Was it produced by Chica again?

Morrissey Central "100th ANNIVERSARY OF HMV" (July 14, 2021)

Re-issue, re-package, constantly quote Paint A Vulgar Picture, the usual deal.

    Morrissey A-Z: "Papa Jack"

The character the lyrics are coming from sounds downtrodden and dejected, and actually feels like a cousin to “He Cried” in a way. I’ve always liked it. Would give it a 7/10. If it came on I wouldn’t turn it off.

Morrissey A-Z: "People Are the Same Everywhere"

Totally horrendous and am glad it didn’t ever get put on an album proper. This song, The Kid’s A Looker (mainly because too many laaa laaaa, laa laaa laaa laaaa’s) and Golden Lights are the only three Smiths/Morrissey songs I would ever give the term “horrendous” — and I love both Kill Uncle and...

What (hopefully upcoming) new Morrissey output are you most looking forward to?

New collaborations with Alain Whyte. Never thought that would be a thing again but here we are. All that reaching out paid off! We salute you, Mr. Whyte. That, and finally hearing the oft-spoken about “Diana Dors”.

Morrissey Central "100th ANNIVERSARY OF HMV" (July 14, 2021)

Hmmmm… why do I keep thinking of it as “extended version”? If it’s an alternate version as listed there that makes it even more exciting! Surely someone must have it sitting on a hard drive somewhere? Oh the frustration.

Morrissey Central "100th ANNIVERSARY OF HMV" (July 14, 2021)

You know what would make me excited? Seeing a legit rip of that Your Arsenal “for your consideration” bonus CD with the full, extended version of There Speaks A True Friend. This still hasn’t turned up anywhere. I love that song so much. @Famous when dead - do you have that photo of said disc...

Morrissey Central "Turning The Inside Out." (July 5, 2021)

I f***ing love Tiny Tim! Was really happy to read that part. Moz should do a cover of Tip Toe Through The Tulips. omg at working with Alain again! We’ve all been praying for that and it’s happened. Sam didn’t ever like Bowie? Get outta here.
