Morrissey Central "ROBERT PATTINSON" (October 20, 2020)

It is obvious that Dog has been a contractual liability for BMG. They did put the album out but that's all they did. No physical singles, no proper videos, no promotion, no radioplay... They did drop the album liike an unwanted cabbage, with a dull thud.

Morrissey Central "ROBERT PATTINSON" (October 20, 2020)

Not really. This is more like a horror story or a fever dream with demonic mermaids, evil seagulls and other insanity.

Morrissey Central "ROBERT PATTINSON" (October 20, 2020)

Costello's racist tendencies have been covered often over the years. But he's not that relevant a figure any more, unlike Morrissey, so people aren't that interested any more.

Morrissey Central "ROBERT PATTINSON" (October 20, 2020)

Not to be confused with Life (2017) though, a passable scifi horror flick. But yes, Pattinson is great. Nowadays he's such a good actor he can elevate any movie. His role in Tenet is just a mere sidekick, but he manages to breathe raffish life into an underwritten part. Devil All the Time is a...

We're all holding our breath for the MIKNNA remix of Bobby.

Morrissey Central "ROBERT PATTINSON" (October 20, 2020)

Well, Lighthouse is not exactly "Hollywood". A black and white movie about two lightkeepers stranded in the midst of a storm a century ago. Recommended.

The first couple in the world to marry at Salford Lads Club - Manchester Evening News

Best wishes to the happy couple! Remember to not kick the bride down the aisle.

The Guardian: "Matt Berninger webchat: your questions answered on Morrissey, Taylor Swift and infinite creativity" (October 13, 2020)

Are you allowed to like anything which doesn't have the Morrissey seal of approval?

Mporium (UK): new additions (October 2, 2020)

Not every one of the designs on offer is bad, but some are -- and there is absolutely no general aesthetic or style. It's like every shirt is designed by a different person, with hugely varying abilities. I also wonder why would anyone buy any of these.

    NYC Hammerstein Ballroom officially cancelled

So you agree with Brown that the supposed whole Covid pandemic is all about a freemason cospiracy implanting microchips in us and that 5G towers are evil? You really are a loon. Just to enlighten us all, here are the lyrics for Brown's song: [Intro: Ian Brown] We don't need no stinking badges...

Morrissey Central "KAREN CARPENTER WAS OBVIOUSLY A GENIUS" (September 1, 2020)

I guess Eliza-Marie simply means that if Elizabeth Anne Dwyer had never given birth, there had been no Morrissey and therefore no The Smiths. But yes, I find the whole thing absurd: Dweyer lived all her life privately, she was not a public figure, so perhaps she would not even have wanted all...

RSD UK 2020: "Honey, You Know Where To Find Me" 10" vinyl released today (August 29, 2020)

Yet another chaotic Morrissey release. This can't all be BMG's fault, because the album releases have happened alright. But it has been obvious that BMG doesn't care at all about the single releases and the Morrissey "camp" has always been in disarray.

Morrissey Central "BORN SORRY" (August 19, 2020)

Well, has Morrissey been ever there for anyone in his or her time of need? We don't know. And please learn how to write. You come across as just stupid.

Morrissey Central "BORN SORRY" (August 19, 2020)

"Had my mother been the mother of some politely antiseptic Hell-given pop star, her passing would be known to all and she would light up the New York Film Festival of 2020" But she wasn't! She stayed out of the public eye. I'm sad for Morrissey's loss, but this is just silly.

Morrissey Central ELIZABETH DWYER DIES (August 14, 2020)

This is both incredibly sad and also the natural order of things. A parent outliving the child would be a true tragedy. But of course loss always hurts and we all mourn. I am sorry for Morrissey's loss and give all my condolences.

Morrissey deluxe edition box sets - the lack thereof

Yes, you are correct. I meant This Is Morrissey. The whole album feels so pointless to me, that I never even remember the name correctly.

Morrissey deluxe edition box sets - the lack thereof

As for World of Morrissey, that was clearly a tribute to the "World of" albums of his youth where an artist put together a low-priced compilation of some hits, some deep cuts and some rarities for a newcomer to check out the artist. But of course in this day and age such a compilation makes no...

Morrissey deluxe edition box sets - the lack thereof

You're right that it's a confidence trick many artists do, convince theirselves that whatever they are doing now is of equal value as their revered masterpieces from decades ago. But very few artists do it with such extreme gusto as Morrissey, who always claims that the new work is the best he's...

Morrissey deluxe edition box sets - the lack thereof

There is a strange duality with Morrissey's relationship with past. He has a stubborn and mostly deluded belief that each of his album is better than the previous one, which is of course practically impossible with a back catalogue of this size. Therefore he is reluctant to delve into the vault...
