Official Facebook Brief statement re: London gig (March 12, 2020)

True, but at least the backing musicians would be better.

Official Facebook Brief statement re: London gig (March 12, 2020)

Would only risk my health to attend a full on Smiths reunion. No chance would I risk my health to see Morrissey mince around a stage for just over an hour. The Wembley show in 2006 was average, can't see this one being that great.

Morrissey announces European & UK 2020 tour dates (Leeds, Cologne, Paris, London on sale Jan. 24)

I was at the Wembley Arena show in December 2006 - was about 80% full if I recall. Think Morrissey was more popular back then so debatable if this will sell out. Of course the next album could be a career defining best seller. Or perhaps more of the same chugging rock aimed at a small fanbase...

    London - Royal Albert Hall (Mar. 7, 2018) post-show

None of this seated nonsense at the 2002 RAH shows. Quite a few people jumped over from the stalls though security were quick to grab (and evict?) the perpetrators.

    2018 UK tour announced

Off all the venues in the south I'd go to the Brighton show. Saw him there December 2004 and it was a decent show. Venue has lots of standing room and sound seemed good for a largish venue. Only drawback was the walk to the railway station afterwards was all uphill....!!! Albert Hall I don't...

    London, England - Eventim Apollo (Sep. 20, 2015) post-show

How much were the touts selling tickets for? Just curious.......

TTY: September UK dates (Hull Sep. 18, London Sep. 20 and 21)

70 quid a ticket is taking the Michael. I was quite up for going to my first Moz show in about 5 years, but for that price you can forget it! When you throw in the fact he might go sick, cancel the show or walk of stage after about 4 songs, then it's not worth the gamble. FFS are playing the...

TTY: September UK dates (Hull Sep. 18, London Sep. 20 and 21)

Tempted to come out of exile to attend one of the London dates. I've never been to the Hammersmith Apollo. How does it compare to other London venues? I see it is all seated which is putting me off a bit.

In a perfect world the Dublin date would be followed by Dundee and Humberside.....

Confirmed 2014 tour dates; seeking label to issue "World Peace..." - TTY

I've never been to the O2, but....... when Morrissey played Wembley Arena in 2006 it was a pretty good show despite the size of the venue. So don't think big venue equals rubbish show..... thought sometimes it does't help!

Confirmed 2014 tour dates; seeking label to issue "World Peace..." - TTY

Re: Confirmed 2014 tour dates - TTY My thoughts exactly! I remember the days when you could go to a Moz showing without remorgaging your house..... and have money left for t' bus fare home. Or maybe I'm just getting old?

Morrissey in Los Angeles (May 10, w/Tom Jones), Brooklyn (June 21 w/Cliff Richard) - TTY

The headline in the independent is "Mistletoe and Whine". Mad me smile. I'm probably in a minority here but actually would be interested to see these "support acts".

Any one from UK going to Rome?

I stayed in a hotel next to the station - Hotel Napoleon or something to that effect. Was a good cheap and cheerful base, no thrills. I read afterwards that you should avoid that area after hours, but it seemed okay to me! The metro system in Milan is very good and it was only 5 mins to the city...

Manchester Date Added, Manchester Arena, Saturday 28 July - TTY Update

I agree 100%. I've been going to Moz gigs since 1995 and they have gone downhill fast since his 2002 tour I would say. Alain Whyte leaving the band was a HUGE loss. I was quite interested to read about the Manchester show and the Italy shows but then realised that I wouldn't really enjoy them...

    Copenhagen - Operaen (July 11, 2011) post-show

Having Davidt ejected is an all time low for Morrissey. A man of his age should know better. If I had been David I would have waited for Morrissey at the stage door and pelted him with eggs or something when he came out.

    Glastonbury - Glastonbury Festival 2011 (June 24, 2011) post-show

Thought playing satellite of love was a gamble seeing as the headliners U2 had covered it as well a few years back. Morrissey is also beginning to look a bit like Terence Stamp with his grey hair. Tell 'em I'm coming......

    Glastonbury - Glastonbury Festival 2011 (June 24, 2011) post-show

Mixed feelings watching this at home. I thought the first 20 minutes were really good and it was a real greatest hits selections with songs that all the neutral fans in the crowd would know. I was really enjoying the set but then he played Alma Matters and 2 new songs which seemed to kill the...

Liverpool - Moz walks off stage

Re: Moz walks off stage That looks like one of those pints of water in a plastic pint pot which the security hand out to people down the front of the audience. I can't make this one out. Should Moz have carried on or was he right to walk off? I'm not sure. I think Morrissey wants this tour...
