Glad I'm not the only one! He is just too wonderful, returning to normality is such a wrench. So happy I have finally seen him though, it was definitely worth the wait.
Love the tree hugging. (And symbolism, yes please!) Ok, any hugging where he is involved. ;)
So, after years of failed attempts, I have finally seen him live, in Grimsby on Tuesday. He was amazing. And now I keep swinging wildly between happiness and total despair. Is this crazy - does anyone else get like this? I am now taking refuge in this thread and almost constant daydreaming...
Mostly listening to Emily Barker at the moment, these are some of my favourites.
Nostalgia, Emily Barker & the Red Clay Halo

No, why? I am 26, they are all over 30, mostly mid to late 30's.
I did get the "Who, Jim Morrison?" line from a guy at work, but the best one was this:
Me: I love Morrissey the best.
So-called person: Why don't you go to Asda?
Since I'm known for being obsessed with Morrissey, my friends do tease me quite a bit about him (but they also tease me about being vegan). It's usually done in good humour - most of them like the Smiths and one even admitted to liking YATQ - but what they do say is generally pretty feeble, like...
Jebus, even worse than the "I'm a taxpayer" lot! I was working as a concert steward once when someone said that the £2 they charged for a tub of ice cream was "horrendous" and "very very sad". Classical concert goers are such drama queens.
My favourite was the time I had to stop a woman from...
I aim to please. ;)
A few of us were called into a meeting a while back and given a lecture about accessing inappropriate sites, because a lot of people had been messing about on facebook and so on. Then my boss said he knew who had been on and exactly what they had been looking at, with a...
Grrrrr....rant. A very nasty old man came into my work today to complain. It was actually nothing to do with us but I tried to find out exactly what the problem was so I could help and point him in the right direction. But before I could even find out what was wrong he started screaming at me...
I hadn't even heard of him until a few months ago. I was looking at Divine Comedy stuff on youtube and found the video Poppy posted. Saw him at Holy Trinity Church. The Divine Comedy would be fantastic in there. (Unlikely I know.) :D
^ This. :thumb:
I've been obsessed with Richard Hawley for the past few months. Also at the moment, 'Is There Nothing We Could Do?' by Badly Drawn Boy but I have to be careful when I listen to that as it makes me cry.
Wow. Yes, definite shortness of breath here. Never before have I found red eyes and a sweaty shirt so appealing. ;)
I can't sneak on here when it's quiet at work anymore as they've moved the camera on the wall behind me down to include the computer screen. Bastards. :tears:
David Mitchell - one half of Mitchell & Webb and Mark in Peep Show.
Charlie Brooker - writer of Screen Burn, Screenwipe, Newswipe and Dead Set which I did not watch because I'm a wimp.
Neither conventionally goodlooking but since I find them both very funny and like their writing and telly...
