I am hated for ... loving Morrissey

Oh, don't do this. The left aren't exactly separating babies from their parents and keeping in concentration camps, or pardoning convicted domestic terrorists. And it isn't the left that is making a completely incompetent ballsup of Brexit. Get a grip on yourself. Leftists aren't murdering...

"How to treat Morrissey? Stop listening to him" by Stewart Lee - The Guardian

Why are you asking this? I might write a 1,000 words for a blog about it if you're not careful.

"How to treat Morrissey? Stop listening to him" by Stewart Lee - The Guardian

Sure it is, he can't give tickets away, that's why he just finished an 18 month tour averaging 900-1000 tickets a night.

"How to treat Morrissey? Stop listening to him" by Stewart Lee - The Guardian

Well, we made to the 19th reply before the predictable bit of shooting the messenger and try to monster the writer. If The Guardian asked at a mosque, I bet quite a lot of people wouldn't even know *who* they were asking about. Morrissey wrote material of great sensitivity and insight many...

All UK/European gigs postponed due to "logistical circumstances beyond our control" - management

No. Not kidding you. Morrissey has not played a UK arena tour that large before though March 2015 and December 2006 came near to it. Be speechless all you want : not all his fans can spend £80 a night on a ticket, especially when they saw him four months ago. And, its not just about money...

All UK/European gigs postponed due to "logistical circumstances beyond our control" - management

Cor. I can't be bothered to go through 43 pages of hysteria. There are three reasons the tour was cancelled. The tour was always going to be a tough sell. 1. Market Saturation / contracts. He finished the biggest solo tour he's ever done of arenas four months ago. Coming back for a second...

Love Music Hate Racism by Fiona Dodwell - Tremr

Freedom of speech means that. It's not called Freedom from consequence. As always, there's an XKCD for this. https://xkcd.com/1357/

Is this the first UK tour where no shows have sold out?

The vast majority of, if not all, of the 1991-95 shows sold out. I think the 2002, 2004 shows did as well.

'This Is Morrissey' details - liner notes by Fiona Dodwell; vinyl release date Aug. 31, 2018

Lead times for vinyl are much longer than CD's : there are less vinyl planets and higher demand. CD pressing plants have more capacity and much smaller lead times. This compilation is an appalling concept. I thought it was a fan photoshop when I first saw it.

Manchester Castlefield Bowl (July 7, 8) confirmation, on sale this week - Morrissey Central

Well, considering Moz is playing here the *exact* same night The Cure / Interpol / Editors / Twilight Sad / Slowdive / Ride etc are playing London - which was announced and sold out six months ago - it's fair to say plenty of people who might have gone to Manchester on the Saturday now have...

Stephen Collins on Morrissey cartoon - The Guardian

I bet some of you think the lyrics of King Leer are funny.

There Is A Light That Must Be Switched On - Morrissey talks to John Riggers Apr. 2018 - M. Central

Well, I Wonder. (Lazy Photoshopping of the cloud there, but that's no worse than WPINOYB)

Did Alain Whyte play on Ringleader of the Tormentors?

That's because Stadium are a frankenband of side guys from appalling bands such as INXS, and a reality TV show and Alain or not, I'd rather be at work than see that kind of dross.

Did Alain Whyte play on Ringleader of the Tormentors?

Moz should probably be more honest and level that Alain and The Lads rescued him from solo purgatory that was he was heading for at *great* speed, he effectively inherited a young and hungry band that was looking for a great lead singer - and both served their purpose well. There may be 100's...

Did Alain Whyte play on Ringleader of the Tormentors?

On the basis of ROTT, it seems fairly clear that Alain was present at at least some sessions, sang some backing vocals, and mimed the drums on the videos. That said, it would seem odd to have the co-writer of many of the songs who can play guitar, not playing guitar ; though, obviously, that...

    The final Morrissey concert? (concept)

We probably won't even know the final Morrissey concert is the final concert when its actually happening. It'll probably be some weird tour stop in Idaho or Nashville Town Hall about four years after the last album has come out. No doubt Moz will stop when he has some kind of health scare in...

Morrissey's Kill Uncle turned 27 last March 4: after all this time what are your opinions on it?

My Love Life came out 17-Sept-91 Nevermind came out 24-Sept-91. Kill Uncle didn't come out in the full swing of Grunge. Your Arsenal did.
