Actually it doesn't specifically say Morrissey is curating anything. It was worded in a purposeful way so one might jump to that conclusion ( and sell tickets on short notice) but like every Riot Fest event, the curating is done by Riot Fest. I think Riot Fest "curated" a lineup whose crowd...
Pandemic restrictions here in the US vary wildly from none to some - with differences from state to state, or county to county within each state, all the way down to the particular business or venue in your town; and because of the politics that have become intertwined in any behavior...
Yes, stage invaders early in the show; one or two wore out their welcome and the crowd was happy to see them removed. I find it entertaining and was glad to see the enthusiasm!
I think the couple was aggravating a few people around me but I’m not sure of the details. They were literally standing...
-Only browsed a couple pages of comments but I was there in the front last night and not sure what to expect given the last year and a half of negative media attention, no shows, band member rotation, etc.
I think the show was a triumph - the band was visibly having fun, the new drummer, Alain...
Morrissey is included in a list of "anti-vaxxers" in today's LA Times Article about a different singer than I've never heard of.
Has Morrissey said anything specifically about vaccines?

I haven't turned on this show in 20 or 30 years but I turned it on this past Sunday because I wasn't sure if it was the "Panic" episode.
Instead it was a "vegan" themed episode and it was actually really funny.
It think it's very fair to point out the angle that National Review comes from, but the author's characterization of "Low In High School" era Morrissey, in comparison to Bruce Springsteen as his example of the "archetypal pop-music liberal," seems fair in the paragraph you posted from the...
An interesting article from the conservative point of view on Morrissey...

Morrissey: When Demagoguery Goes Pop - National Review

The Smiths’ former frontman changes protest music for better — and worse.
Yeah, so the show is on a Monday night - not a big stay out night...
But in the random chance any Philly spots are doing something Sunday or Monday, I'd be pleased to squeeze it in between VStreet, HCV, and Charlie Was a Sinner dining excursions.
But I'll be getting the reissue, anyway, of course.
There are other redeeming qualities about the track list if the audio on the main album falls a little short.
Maybe we'll get lucky, though?
I'm not the biggest fan of Bill Inglot's mastering. I find a lot of Rhino reissues he's done on the overly compressed side. There actually aren't any remasters he's done that I've thought to myself, "that's the best version I've heard."
This doesn't necessarily bode well either - "SDE’s...
Re: Smiths remaster/reissue LP's
Well hopefully, when higher than 320kbps versions are released, either on cd or otherwise, they won't screw up these remasters, because they are very well done, sounding good even at that bitrate.
They're worth tracking down until something better comes along.
