  • I'm ok, really hungry but I'm too lazy to cook so I'm sitting in bed listening to the Beatles and drawing caricatures of Paul McCartney, and yourself?
That's nice..:) He probably just hates people associated with the 'business'. But it's good that he's fine with the public and stuff. I'm sure that i heard he's had about 50 members of The Fall over the years.
I was slightly panicking there..:) I thought "Man, we all get excited about going on holiday, but there's never an excuse for porn"...lol!

He seems quite a character. And i saw that interview he did with Whiley...:) He even didn't like Frank Skinner much and he claimed to like him..:)
I've never really listened to the Fall to any great extent. I know, i know..:) Mark E Smith is quite a character though - he's very rude to journalists, so he's fine by me..:)

I think bands always get a better response from places where life is harder for people. I suppose they need the 'buzz' more. I'm not really sure though. I could be talking rubbish - which wouldn't be the first time..:)
Is Cork kind of posh? You usually get a more extreme reaction in more lived-in - shall we say - places..:)

The whirlpool swallows everything in it's path! Prams, mattresses, shopping trolleys..:) I personally reckon Moz should buy everyone at the gig a shirt - we are not animals you know..:)
Just lucky i guess..:) And i've seen that whirlwind of psychos who cling for dear life to Moz's shirt at the end of a gig.

    It's scary..:)
Was saying to Lucy that she always comes back from gigs with something.

I just return skint and hungover..:)
I could, but i'm very lazy. I'm sure she will - if not i could google it..:)

A 'Curb' fan eh? great taste..:)
I should really read more things. I've read a lot of Wilde and stuff and i recall seeing 'Waiting For Godot - i think the guy who played in the Commitments was i the play i saw. I think the scots have a similar mentality to the Irish, well, drink and melancholy mainly..:) Hopefully we will be a fully functioning independent country soon.

It'll be great for you to meet. I wanted a pic from her of the Post office in Dublin where the rising took place - so you could remind her to do it. Jyst got the history of The Rising and the treaty recently and it was fascinating stuff.
Are you meeting up? That's really great..:) I sent you one of those friends request thingies. You can by-pass any initiation ceremony though, i've ran out of goats blood..:)

When are you meeting Lucy? Oh, and i haven't read Beckett - or James Joyce either. which is shocking. I will though..:)
I have seen that guy a few times. does he not analyse quite complex issues and then explains it very well. I may have dreamt it..:)

does it have that English actor in it. That would maybe put me off watching it..:) It's quite a famous movie, was it made in the 1980's? It's quite a classic i believe, so i should watch it.:)
He's quite good that guy. really cynical which is alright, i suppose..:)

I've never heard of daniel o dowd. I'd need to check him out. By your description i was thinking about Dylan Morgan, who's a great stand-up too..:)

Probably Jacons Ladder which is pretty old. Goes back to 1990 sometime. Tim Robbins. great movie..:)
He must have been brave touring the states and saying the stuff he did, to a bunch of drunken red-necks. I would give it a miss..:)

I've never really heard it, which is fairly astonishing. There's a guy called Doug Stanhope or standhope who's pretty funny too.

I like Evans visually. he did a gig in Edinburgh at the Payhouse and it's a pretty good DVD - but it's mostly physical humour.
I think there's a secret ingredient to telling these things and i don't have it either, so don't worry..:) The glue one is great..:) Goatboy is the classic example of why i like him and makes him very unique - because you do laugh but you think 'f***ing Hell!'..:) I quite like artists who reveal the darker side of our nature and have the balls to actually say it. I really like lines like the woman saying "Childbirth is a miracle" and Bill says, "No it's not. No more a miracle than eating food and a turd coming out of your ass"..:) Or the line which he says - "Have you ever noticed that people who talk about creationism look really unevolved? eyes close together, eyebrown ridges, big furry and hands and feet? "God created me in one day" and Bill says - "looks like he rushed it"..:)

It's his questioning nature that i really loved and the fact that he had the bravery to say it.
Not for a while but i check out YouTube regularly just in case someone has posted something new. I've heard it all though, many times as you would imagine. I can recite most of the stuff he ever came up with, which isn't something that anyone should be admitting to in public..:)
I never knew what the guy looked like and googled his name. You're, right he's the spitting image of him.

    best lookalike EVER..:)
Yes, he needs a hair cut, he's nothing without Mr Blobby (my childhood hero when I was young)
Oh, good for you, you should record something for us
