It's not "only in my head". In almost every thread here people complain about "things" Morrissey has said that somehow has resulted in a "shrinking fan base".
It’s strange that somehow Morrissey is the bad guy that seems to irritate a lot of englishmen, and not the radical islamists behind the Manchester 2017 bombing, killing of MP Amess and so on. I don’t even think Morrissey has killed anyone before. So it’s a peculiar world, no doubt.
There is a conspiracy theory that Damon actually is the real writer behind some (or many) modern Morrissey songs. Like the way many of the Renaissance artists had assistants who did a lot of the work while they took the credit. I don't remember where I read this.
Cool! I think she’s the great granddaughter (?) of Oscar Wilde. Morrissey was introduced to him by his mother, a librarian, around 1970, and has been a devoted fan (or whatever you call it) of Wilde ever since.
This is very cool and innovative. Thanks for pointing it out. I think this could be the first time in the history of music that somebody has done this. It's sad that, once again, the world won't listen.
I agree. Doesn't he have his own Étienne label thing? Freedom and simplicity. Record deals are outdated, let's face it, and it's always been stressful for him. But without it will be hard to find some higher level executives to blame if they don't promote it enough or if it doesn't chart. Charts...
Thanks, that's good information. In my country, Donald Trump was portrayed as a bad guy xenophobic and pro-borders, but it doesn't seem like things have gotten any better with a different president. Maybe Putin had a point when he said "the US is strange; the presidents change, but the politics...
The poster said Echo & the Bunnymen (famous for the song "Killing the Moon" or something), I think, but they're not mentioned in the line-up anymore. That's a bit strange, but then again, the music business is very strange, so it fits.
