I don't think anybody with a brain could actually think Morrissey's solo output to be better than the Smiths'. Not to say there aren't several great solo songs though.

Absolutely incredible - easily a 10. One of those songs I overplayed at first & its effect grew thin on me. However, have recently rediscovered it & it's absolutely brilliant!

Absolutely brilliant.. almost underrated outside the hardcore fanbase. Fail to see how anybody could give this anything other than 10... Radio Berlin.

Nice enough song, but how on earth can people give it a 9 or 10? Houdini, the only way this poll would give an accurate result would be to ask everybody to rank all songs individually & then to add them. There must be a tonne of people who've not voted less than 8 for any song!

There's a difference between liking an artist & saying ridiculous things. For example, I do not like New Order. However, I'd never say they were "plain, bloody awful" or whatever that idiot "snapyou" has to say. I recognise their talent & accomplishments, but simply do not enjoy their...

Thom Yorke is so much more than just "technique" - this was merely in response to somebody saying "We know Moz is a much better singer". Anyway, both Yorke & Moz are my favourite singers. Such a shame that many on here are so blinkered in their support for Moz that they will accept nobody else.

Are you deaf? You're saying that Yorke "sounds like everybody else" & hence has an inferior voice to Moz? :rolleyes:

In what way? I adore Moz's voice, but Thom's voice is vastly technically superior. Sure over the last few years, it has started to wane...but from a technical point of view his voice on their first 3-4 records is streets ahead of Moz's.

Absolutely incredible cover - streets ahead of anything Morrissey's "band" is capable of. Music/vocals.. all perfection. Shame they didn't cover a different Joy Division song - never been a big fan of Ceremony.

This is such a brilliant song (one of my all time favourites), but Morrissey has absolutely butchered it. Cannot see how anybody could prefer the cover over the original. 5 (the extra 4 marks only because it's such an amazing piece of music by Weller).

Beyond brilliant. A definite 10. Pity those who prefer Morrissey B-sides.
