I joined this forum because I thought I'd enjoy talking about Mozza's music with other people but I'm sorry it's full of trolls. I reckon it really is "So Low."
I want my account deleted. To Mr Tseng: You clearly have the best of intentions David it's not your fault that this place has...
I think we're talking about different people here. I am referring to Steven Morrissey, late of the The Smiths - the idea that no tunes enter his mind is just silly. Of course melodies must bounce around his head. You really expect any of us to believe that Moz is handed a finished melody and...
The fact that Moz's music has the same, sometimes very similar, sound despite different bands/collaborators says he's composing/dictating music in some way. Yes. The Smiths recordings were often credited as music by Marr and lyrics by Morrissey. But it's more likely that Morrissey heavily...
Re: You can't work the refs when you're responsible for 90% of the fouls.
I've crashed into ad hominems before in other contexts - it seems to happen when two people are pushing buttons on each other that trigger strong emotions.

I was just listening to "I'm Not Sorry"...
Re: You can't work the refs when you're responsible for 90% of the fouls.
Oh my that's not good! (in fairness Viva Hates you have the right of reply to dispute what has been said) but I would say I don't like the sound of that at all.
Realitybites it seemed you had made many comments on...
I like Glen Campbell, Frank Sinatra. I am also a HUGE Beatles fan. But I must say, and it sounds corny, but in my opinion Morrissey is the greatest singer/songwriter since Lennon/McCartney.
Re: You can't work the refs when you're responsible for 90% of the fouls.
I'll take that in the spirit of good humour as your number of posts says you must be a decent bloke to still be around on here ;)
RIGHT. LOOK. I started this thread, I feel responsible for it, and I want to be the one to start it finishing.
These anonymous people aren't going to go away. There is obviously a history here about which I have no idea as I am a new user. But this is just going round and round. What is going...
Dear Anonymous: My details are on my posts, I respond giving people the ability to at least identify me as a user and I can be held accountable by doing so.
That makes me a man and you, a boy. Be a man, step up and show who you are. Time to grow up.
I surely can't be the only one who has some kind of platonic crush on Morrissey. It's mainly men who jump on the stage to touch him, well at least it used to be back in the early to mid 90s solo days.
Re: (Not Constantinople)
Decided to hammer out on the keyboard some interesting potential lyrics in Morrissey's style but after five minutes gave up as it wasn't as easy as I thought.
Playcat I personally prefer his older voice I think it's richer. He hasn't done an Elton John (poor Elton) who is now struggling with a lower range. Morrissey's voice has aged very well. He can hit notes he needs to and his voice has a resonance that I really like.
