I asked the chat gpt AI to write a song in the style of the Smiths

Proof, if it were needed, that robots will never have the intelligence to take over the world - it's much, much closer to Coldplay than The Smiths. [My god I'll look like an idiot if this ends up being a song on WMTWD]

    Morrissey Central “MORRISSEY 2023” (December 8, 2022)

SER: Uncle, what shall we say on Central about how the album's going to come out? Morrissey: Oh god, just put something about, I dunno, ways to attain global distribution are being researched. Make something up. Make it sound semi-official if you like. SER (5 mins later, typing into Central)...

Oh I totally get where you're coming from, and I know your well-documented disdain for Uncle Joe's work. But...it's more stuff! I live in eternal hope that some of it might be extraordinary...

    Morrissey Central “MORRISSEY 2023” (December 8, 2022)

I know everything in Morrisseyworld is an unholy mess right now, but this makes me incredibly happy. More songs to hear (somehow? eventually?), to discuss, to fall in love with, to be truly disappointed by, to love/hate the production on, to never hear on the radio, etc... It's a strange...

Morrissey Central "Rebels Without Applause" (November 25, 2022)

I like your interpretation of this song - I hadn't really thought of it as a "death song" but it clearly is. And it's done in such a Morrissey way, too. As others have suggested, I wouldn't link it directly to his Barrett's oesophagus diagnosis but he's obviously very aware of time's creep, and...

The Smiths A-Z: "Work Is A Four-Letter Word"

I massively prefer "Golden Lights" to this, for some reason! I guess because the lyrics to "Golden Lights" fit so seamlessly with some of Morrissey's obsessions, whereas the lyrics to "WIAFLW" just...don't.

    Strange/unexpected Moz references?

Nice little Shoplifters reference about the cricket just now, from ex-Maccabees guy Felix White: (I appreciate this will make zero sense if you don't follow cricket!)

    The Smiths A-Z: "Wonderful Woman"

I love his voice on this / these. And Johnny's guitar. And the way he sings that bit at the end: "And when she calls, I / Do not walk, I run..." just conveys so much.
