This is an interesting topic...
From what I understand, the whole practice of compressing the life out of albums didn't arise from aesthetic considerations but from commercial ones. Super compressed albums were made that way so that they could grab listeners' attention in a world increasingly...
Yikes! Thanks for posting that but it came and went so fast, I didn't get a chance to download it before it expired! Any chance of another shot at it? Again, thanks for being so generous.
Anyone's Ghost seems to have lodged itself permanently in my brain. I've woken up in the middle of the last couple of nights with that song running through my head. It's been a long time since a track burrowed its way into my life so deeply.
And over the top as it is, I think the final cut is...
Bloodbuzz Ohio....brilliant!
I love how these guys just get better and better with every album (though I wish they'd left some of the edges on the new lp just the tiniest bit rough...).
Thanks very much! This is indeed a treat.

Re: Tour Music 1991
Crap! Quite right. I copied the wrong song list. The correct one would be:
01 - Sandie Shaw - You've Not Changed
02 - T.Rex - Metal Guru
03 - Lulu - Boom Bang-A-Bang
04 - Twinkle - Golden Lights
05 - Ronnie Dawson - Rockin' In The Cemetery
06 - Patrick McNee & Honor...
Would any of you kind souls by any chance have the 1991 tour music to upload? I'd be ever so grateful! All the earlier links seem to have expired.
01 - Erik Satie - Gymnopedies - No. 1
01 - Smoking Popes - Midnight Moon
02 - Anthony Newley - Girls Were Made To Love And Kiss
03 - Hurricane...
If anyone has a copy of this vinyl bootleg, and/or the two accompanying 45's Good Times and Break My Shine, they are interested in selling, please send me a pm.
Thanks!
Thanks folks. I appreciate the tips. I'll keep my eyes peeled for ebay, maybe put in an ebay alert, etc.
I was only partially correct...Thank Your Lucky stars, according to passionsjustlikemine, was released on vinyl as Brighter Sides to Life, along with two 45's.
I'll keep looking...
...but what if one wanted to get old bootlegs (Thank Your Lucky Stars, in particular) on vinyl, how do you start? Where do you go? Who do you need to know? (Sorry, couldn't resist!) I read that Thank Your Lucky Stars was issued on vinyl and I'd love a copy.
This is my first time posting, so...
