My Moz Belt
Go to this link (Moz belt) and you will be able to see the 'coolest' most 'hip and happening' way to hold up one's slacks. I made it myself using a belt, a pic of Moz (5cm/4cm) and some pva glue. Now all my "friends" are quite sure that I am peculiar! Some people just don't get the greatness of king Morrissey!!

Smiths mentioned in Rolling Stone review of Echo and the Bunnymen
In the September issue of Rolling Stone, a review of Echo and the Bunnymen's Flowers (page 108) mentions the Smiths in the first line stating that Echo was never as pretty as them.

Trash Can Sinatras song 'Leave Me Alone' (link to mp3) draws a Morrissey comparison in a review of their fairly recent Glasgow gig.

The Herald (Glasgow) - July 7, 2001 - John Williamson. Excerpt:
There are also thrills among the more recent songs. Leave Me Alone is the song Morrissey could have made if he had chosen to make solo records with Nashville session men instead of Cockney rockabillies, a tune which, to quote Paul Westerberg, is indeed "sadly beautiful."

Morrissey mention on "100 Greatest Kids Programs"
Morrissey was mentioned on UK's Channel 4's '100 Greatest Kids TV Programs' yesterday. The reference came from a comedien talking about a program (I can't remember which one, sorry) and said "As Morrissey once said 'It says nothing to me about my life!'" taken from "Panic".

I was visiting The Sisters of Mercy site when I found what I think is a Moz related joke at the Doktor Avalanche's section. For all of you who don't know who/what D.Avalanche is, let me tell you that D.A. is Sisters' drum machine and the only original "member" that remains in the Sisters since 1980 (of course, I'm not counting singer Andrew Eldritch).

The thing is that in this section, Doktor Avalanche answers some questions with a typical Sister sense of humour. At the end of last one, you can see a "Click here if you want to send mail anyway" sign that leads you to another page where you're invited to send "a really long email to Mozzer" at [email protected]

I won't say this one is a very good joke, but some of the answers really made laugh... like the "fable" of Bob ant the untidy cat :-)

Has this been noticed before? The Sisters of Mercy have a web page (www.thesistersofmercy.com), including a section where 'band member' Docktor Avalanche (the name for their drum machine) answers questions and gives 'advice'. Then, there is a link if one desires said advice for their particular problem, which leads to this message: "You are beyond help. Put your problems, questions and career advice in a really long email and send it to Mozzer." And the link for Mozzer is: [email protected]
