For US fans of The Smiths, the US iTunes store is now offering the full slate of studio albums for the very first time. In addition is the very first US release of The World Won't Listen, the rarest album for US fans to get a hold of. It's also worth noting that they're offering it and the studio albums at $7.99, with 90-second previews and a custom band page with a newly-composited image including The Salford Lads' Club. Finally, it seems there's a push from Warners to market them digitally. While this may not be Earth-shattering news, their absence from the US iTunes store has been kind of curious, almost bizarre, up until now.

Nicky Wire says Morrissey changed his life

Nicky Wire of the Manic Street Preachers said in a television programme last night on channel 4, that the moment he saw Morrissey on TOTP his life changed forever

he said the next day he went into school with flowers in his back pocket and through Morrissey was able to progress into music much more easier, by then listening to other bands like Echo and the Bunnymen
