Boz Boorer - new single/video "Slippery Forces"

Re: Boz Boorer - new single "Slippery Forces"

I like the music and the video, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what the lyrics are about. Is it just me or does Boz's voice sound a bit more...chirpy than on "Miss Pearl"? I'm not quite sure how to describe it..God on Boz though for making something so professional and polished.

This is pretty decent--much better than the garbage that has been produced by Morrissey lately.

you ve got to hand it to him..that is a quality bit of work.(manc lad)

I take it I'm the only one who thinks it's a tuneless bag of shit, then? He can't sing. He's just getting ready for Moz' retirement

Edit: The lyrics are painful. Dear God. "Her hands are in her pocket, so I guess the cell phone's charging"? Seriously? Yeah, I always put my phone in my pocket when the other side is plugged into the wall...:squiffy:

Is that what it means? I would have assumed it meant that without her phone she doesn't know what to do with her hands so she puts them in her pockets? *shrugs*

f*** any naysayers Boz is the man. Him and Gaz are the reason I found Morrissey so I'll always have his back.

It means that since she's not talking on the phone--as she is someone who constantly talks on the phone--it must be off somewhere charging. It's a good lyric, actually.

Arrogance and density make for a deadly combination, my friend.

No, it's still a poor lyric. It's pretty cringeworthy to hear someone British discussing "cell phones" in any kind of context, really. Did I mention the music was shit?

Yes, you're right Pokey, my mistake.

I love it! :p Look out Eddie Murphy, you got competition! Lol.
