Did anyone happen to see "Billy Elliot" yet? I just thought I should mention that the film started with T Rex's "Cosmic Dancer" (later covered by Morrissey) and ended with "Ride a White Swan" (which inspired the music for "Certain People I Know").

By the way, it was a WONDERFUL film - three thumbs up.

I saw the film a few weeks ago & noticed the Morrissey connection as well.

I love the film's intro... "Cosmic Dancer" worked beautifully in that scene. In addition, the famous football chant that the kids in the "Hulmerist" video use to sing Morrissey's name is used in the film, as well as "A Town Called Malice" by The Jam & "London Calling" by the Clash (the latter two songs were played by Morrissey in a '97 radio program where he was asked to select his favorite songs).

"It was a lovely film and I loved it!!!" a way too excited man with his wife exclaimed (points! points! guess he's getting laid, hmmm?)

"the best movie since Titanic," teen hottie cries

"If you liked Chariots of Fire and Rocky," brutish chunky man says.

"Yo it was dah bomb!" shouts a Bonez, Thugz and Harmoneeze lookalike.
