Can anyone remember the time when the discussion board was actually interesting? I still check to see if anyone's got anything original to say on the subject of Moz but it seems these days to be dominated by "people" such as Greasetea and PunchdrunkGB. Do these idiots actually have lives away from this forum or are they so deluded that they think they have some sort of celebrity status on this discussion bored? This is not meant to be a critisism of the people who still use it to discuss the world of Morrissey - but am I the only one who wonders how these sad little twats arrived here in the first place?

You're not alone! There seems little chance these characters will leave because they have acquired groupies of their own who continually feed their egos.

::: aching for a real discussion about Morrissey without it deteriorating into a discussion about feces or inebriation :::

yeah i was actually visiting a website called www.patheticlives.com and big surprise the link is to this board. i haven't been to this board forever, and now I know why... and I know to stay away... there is probably more morrissey information on the xena the warrior princess bb.

I've almost completely given up checking this board. Occasionally there's something insightful, but you have to sort-through so much trash that it's not even worth it to find the good posts.

Fortunately there is interesting Morrissey discussion on alot of the other forums, so my advice would be to explore around a little... anywhere but here!

i can only attribute this to an alarmingly large number of the general population gaining access to personal computers and an isp. unfortunately internet service providers never actually see the sort of miscreants they're unleashing onto formally excellent forums such as moz-solo, and these people actually think they're being entertaining/tyrannical/mightier than thou.

my advice to you would be to figure out alternate ways of contacting the interesting fans.

responding to anything "greasetea" might have to say would be like dueling with a corpse.

i said this three weeks ago and got lambasted by that pdGB prick and some other girl because ''everything about morrissey has already been said'', i agree totally-all pointless banter about anything other than Moz should be censored.

ive seen this discussion a dozen times. i keep thinking that when morrissey gets a new project going the board will talk about him more than this other stuff. in the mean time, find out which ones consistantly post stuff you dont like, then dont click on their posts.

OH dear are you touchy or what?? Well the some other girl was me and the reason why I said it was just to give you a friendly advice as to not waste your energy on trying to change what is going on here. Others have tried before you, you know? Read the messages if you like, but if you have to cry yourself to sleep after having done so, why don't you just ignore them?

You probably witnessed what happened recently when Moz did the signings....that was all everyone was talking about for days. An artist's message board naturally rises and falls with what the artist is on about. So I guarantee you in the near future there will be loads of pointless banter as you put it now that Moz has crept back into his cave.

Apart from that most of you complainers are hopelessly exaggerating.... 80 % of what is going on here is still Morrissey related, but maybe not falling into your definition of it. Two days ago I posted a little bit about the job I do at the moment, and that was because it is word by word in a song by him. Morrissey related or not? Decide for yourself.

And of course feel free to talk about a possible Smiths reunion or whether Morrissey is gay or straight for the umpteenth time.

And what's all this about a possible Smiths reunion? I haven't heard anything about this! This is mind blowingly exclusive top secret kind of stuff. How did you come about this information? Do you visit his house? If so, next time you're there, could you have a quick squiz behind the washing machine? There may be a very tightly sealed (and apparently empty) jar and a small matchbox there which I might be in a position to remunerate you handsomely for.

Whatever you do though DON'T open the jar!

I don't have a written list but I've come to know the old regulars. I read certain people's posts when I'm in the mood for intelligent conversation - and others when I'm in the mood for silly nonsense type of stuff.There are so many who change their names or are just passing through that sometimes ya just gotta click in to find out what you're getting - "Life is like a box of chocolates - "

too funny. actually, i'm shocked that you replied, you usually keep quiet when others take a shot at you.

it's not like i have anything against humor or a little off-topic discussion here & there, but it's just so excessive these days!

sometimes i notice that someone posts a pretty interesting point of discussion, then someone just jumps in and instigates a bunch of insults and the thread just ends there. the original issue was never discussed, & people become discouraged to post. meanwhile, just below there's a 30 post thread about nothing Morrissey-related whatsoever, just people using the board as a chatroom, or shall we say: "developing their charectars"...

you are a perfect example of why persons under the age of 18 should not have internet access...ignore dees!(as i point to my nether regions)i didn't know i had to have a list by my computer of all the people i like and the people i dislike so i can survey all the posts and THEN decide whether i should read them or not...and why is it when I say something about this @#!!! all the dorks come out of the woodwork and tell me how silly i am...but if anyone else says it they get props from fellow bitchers, i just need someone there for me you know? who's with me fellas?

You best not be callin' our sweet Mimi a 'dork' buddy! I do have to agree with you that I would like to read more Morrissey content and that we should try to be respectful toward one another... but I've learned to expect less and be pleasantly surprised when I get more...

Oh is there not? Some things he wrote can lead to misunderstandings I thought... But the most reliable hint I got was when I went to see my fortuneteller yesterday and she said that someone I loved carried a dark secret around with them....

Not recently, but I heard from my friend's brother's colleague's cousin who is friends with Morrissey's housekeepers flatmate's cousin that the housekeeper found a note in Morrissey's house. The note was left there by the person who's friends with the team mate of the uncle of the ex-prison cell mate of the person who stole Johnny's guitar (appearantly the note had been attached to the it...). It said: "No Morrissey I ain't jammin' with you no mo so stop sending me them silly postcards!". I consider this a fairly reliable information so I don't think this reunion is going to happen. Well maybe there's a slight chance if Morrissey sends Johnny his guitar back.
