I am sitting here at 6:30 am, still not ready to go to sleep..(Long night) and I thought that for Shats and giggles I would throw on this CD that a friend recommended allmost a year ago that I buy. I never listened to it, but I got it. So now its on and its FABULOUS. Who here has ever heard of THE CHAMEALEONS? I think they are great. Im sure there are bungloads of historicall things I should know about them, but I know absolutely nothing. Someone told me I might like it, I bought it. They may all be dead by now for all I know.Does anyone have any idea?? One thing I DO know is that they have a song called "SWAMP THING" that I got on a hommade compilation tape through like FIVE people and I LOVED the song, it was like eight years ago, and I never knew WHO the song was by! Neither did the guy who gave it to me. So now after eight years, I have figured out who one of my favorite songs is by. Yeah me!

Weekend wrap up.....I dont care if Morrissey is Gay, Im not doing the guy, so its really none of my business. If he is a racist, that is his choice and I really dont care. I have my own opinions on certain races. I know that on a night when rap or hip hop is being played at my nightclub, Im not going to be making ANY tips.I kinow that if country music is going to be played, Ill be making alot of money. On Christian night, I wont sell anything except sodas and if they tip me Im luckky! (They would rather save my soul apparently than my rent). Women usually only tip 50 cents, men tip a doller. French and Euro tourists dont tip at all. I have my grievances. Its really just bigottry about my bucks, not a specific racial hatred. I can be optimistic, but...continuous reality gets in the way.

The Chameleons aren't together anymore. They split in 1987. Same year as The Smiths! They also formed around the same time as the Smiths. A bit before the Smiths actually.

I have some of their stuff. Script Of The Bridge I think is their best album. They have a few compilations out there but I prefer to stick with the proper albums. They only have like 3 albums though.

More Smith/Moz connections:
Did you know they were from Manchester and also have been produced by Steve Lillywhite? He produced their Nostalgia single.

Second Skin, Soul In Isolation and Mad Jack are my favorites by them.
I think Swamp Thing is great too.

Is the album you have Strange Times? I know Swamp Thing is on there.
I don't know, overall I didn't like that LP as much. Even though I love Mad Jack. Overall I thought the sound was too slick on that album.

If you're interested, after they split Burgess and Lever formed the group The Sun and The Moon. (they broke up too) They weren't that good though imo.

I think Mark Burgess has a solo career now but I haven't followed it so I'm not sure what he's up to.
