1. Hilariously Depressing Smiths Lyrics ~ Part I

I love twisted things... things that are dark and dramatic and depressing yet humorous as well. When it comes to music, nobody, I mean NOBODY, writes depressing lyrics that are so belly-laughing funny, like Morrissey does. This is his greatest charm... attraction... what makes me love his music so much. I will listen to each Smiths album in its entirety, including the B-sides off the singles, and decide what I think is a hoot--in my current frame of mind. It is interesting how our take...
2. Is Morrissey a Misogynist?

Certain passages in Morrissey's book, Autobiography, read as misogynistic polemics against femaleness. To deny this is delusional. Here is an example: "Night after night like an unowned dog I would tear through the park, a creature in human form, all perilous bolt inviting danger, the bike dancing controlled flips as I gulped jets of rain–more danger, more fun. In comparison, what had girls to offer? Nothing but a mangled jungle of tangled hair presented as the jackpot payoff. Honeypots...
3. Escaping the Creche

Being that the forum is an inhospitable place to post because it is ruled by one large, hateful bully, I think I'll hang out in my blog today. Just a few things I'd like to share... A great year-end podcast from my favorite political podcasters: The 2013 Conundrums Gabfest. Favorite book I read this year: Autobiography by Morrissey Favorite movie of 2013: Gravity Favorite non-English speaking film of 2013: Blue is the Warmest Color (La Vie d'Adèle) Favorite Charlie Rose episode: Cate...

5. "Hire Morrissey for your private event"... Really?

Purely hypothetically, of course. Booking Entertainment, whose website has Morrissey listed as a client, seems to indicate that you can hire him for private events. So, this has me thinking, if enough tickets could be sold, a venue hired, and insurance was actually affordable for the occasion, a group of fans could conceivably orchestrate their own private show. Surely, this has been done. I think it would be tremendously cool to be able to pull off such a thing. And why not, I mean, all...
6. * tonight & its Valentine's Day, fuck man...

for the locals its really been two weeks of celebrations, but today marks the end to those with the *=Lantern Festival, just a short while ago I was all set to go out and have a night of it, but not now now for me its just another lonely VD  so probably just gonna play this playlist on repeat once night falls and watch things from balcony high up above so much of the city...
7. Happy Birthday British Baby!

Tommy turned 6 on Monday, and we were looking through the expansive collection of his pictures and videos and I found this. He was about to turn two in this, and had just started climbing out of his play yard. He would wait til we left the room and then climb out. I thought I was losing it at first! I'd come in and find him out and I would think, "I put him in there, I know I did!" So, we set up a camera and this was what we got. Clever little thing would poise himself ready to do it, and...
8. memories

i was just thinking about some of the moz shows i've been to. i remember one time i was on the barrier and he was leaning out to shake my hand. i tried three or four times to push myself up to reach for his hand. i was stopped by the distance and security. i gave up, shrugged, and blew him a kiss. the smirk he gave me is embedded in my mind.

10. Milk, Meat, Auschwitz, and MorrisseyOy Vey!

Morrissey states: "If you believe in the abattoir then you would support Auschwitz. There's no difference. People who would disagree with this statement have probably never been inside an abattoir." < Are his comments insensitive, even crass? Well, yes. The Nazis DEHUMANIZED Jews, gays, Gypsies, the handicapped, and other undesirables, under the UNSCIENTIFIC theories of Eugenics, reducing the status of these humans to the status of non-human animals. So, Auschwitz victims were...
11. Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana

I WIN!! WOO HOO! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-32583432 All my speculation on the historical significance of the name was spot on! I am a Royal history nerd, so it was easy. LOVE IT!!! She's a pretty baby, too!
12. The King of White Boy Cool

I just gotta throw Beck some love. I was sitting here, bored senseless, watching youtube, and a Beck playlist was on cause Tom digs Hell Yes and the dancing robots, so I started listening to the songs. For a moment, it was 1995, I was driving around in the summer sun in my massive Dodge conversion van, listening to Beercan on a freakin cassette deck! I love this man and his music so much! It was like living in the cool 70's. I had cute bellbottoms and chunky black shoes and I wore those...
13. Is Morrissey Bisexual?

I consider myself bisexual. This identity is not fully embraced by the gay community or the straight one. Both groups think bisexuals are fence sitters. Mostly that we are AFRAID to embrace our gayness. Still keeping one foot in the heterocourt. This may be the case for some. It is not the case for me. I could care less what people think. My family is very open and would completely accept me being a lesbian. My mom knows I am bisexual, as does my son. They get it. They understand I have a...
14. Immortality Online: Pipe Dream or Reality?

Sixty year old sports writer, Martin Manley, committed suicide by gunshot on August 15, 2013. His suicide was meticulously planned a year in advance and documented on a blog which went public the day of his death. His blog is actually interesting. It covers a range of topics from suicide to family to his interests. Was this man just a narcissist looking for attention in the most hideous way possible? Or, was he a lonely, tired soul... jaded and resigned from life and simply wanting to leave...
