past years, this item still comes back

since his early Smiths days asked in radio programme , to play his favourite songs, well,
    let's say he can't decide.

and I find that pretty common, if you ask me every year me favourite songs, some will stay,
or another song from the same artist, a few changes

I must say, from all his list and the artist,
    this is the least likable

    no diane dors
    no patti smith
    no billy fury
    no rita pavone's 'heart'

also the half of the artist with other songs

    what's spotify?

I can't see many surprises here. Most of the songs were present on pregig-tapes/-videos or other compilations (Under The Influence, Morrissey on BBC Radio 1 - My Top 10). And his love for Roxy Music, Sparks and the New York Dolls is well known since the beginning of his career.

  • Nothing by China Crisis then?

And no mention of T'Pau's "China In Your Hand" either...?

    Typically racist omissions. ;)

How can Mozzer be a racist if he's chosen 'Young, Gifted and Black' as a tune? Surely his P.R goonies couldn't of told him to do this to show that he isn't actually a raging racist?!

Why would he choose a song that's about a black person being young and gifted?! That's INSANE.

(Well aware Morrissey isn't a racist, so wind your neck in before you start).

"I am tired of being fleeced by this greedy son of a bitch" - this is an incredibly ill-informed and ignorant comment, given that (as has neen discussed here many times already) re-releases and Greatest Hits compilations are often part of the deal for releasing new material on a new label. It's the GREEDY RECORD COMPANY who is trying to fleece you...and I'm afraid that's the price you'll have to pay for any new material.

You do have another option, of course: don't buy it.

  • Obvously I make more money than you because I love buying this stuff. It is just a treat for yourself and to keep Moz in the hearts and minds of music buyers. REAL fans with the money to burn will buy and enjoy them and who the fuck knows maybe some mall rat will buy it based on his gay cousin's suggestion and the world has a new Morrissey fan.

If you don't want to buy it, then shut the fuck up and take up knitting.

Maybe trolls like Sumonessweetie should spend less time bitching online and pick up a paper route from some extra cash.

    I'm just saying!

What's getting absurd is that people like you call yourself a "Morrissey fan". It's impossible to "always love the music" and not love the man who wrote the lyrics to those songs. If you disagree, you've never been actually touched by his music. You merely liked the jingle-jangle of the tune.

And, really? Morrissey a "greedy son of a bitch"? That's truly how you feel? Well, f**k off, then.
