He's an ugly mirror to M. Sour, damaged and vicious. They share a sensibility, a sexual orientation, and a nature that becomes ever more ugly with the passing years. But don't let Fry fool you - because of his good education, he masks his misanthropy with what pass for bon mots in these witless times. At least M knows, somewhere in the remains of his heart, that the stakes are higher than you could ever imagine, and that all that matters is love. Fry is just a nasty old fraud - happy to play the national treasure while he gnaws at the carcass of his ambition. He's done nothing, and means nothing, so pay him no heed.

Stephen Fry has his second volume of memoirs "coming out" soon. It will consist of chapters of no longer than 140 characters and will feature the cliche 'national treasure' at least 12 times.

Was he Moston or was it Hugh Laurie? Their sketch show was interminably dull and too clever by half. Still I'm looking forward to it as he's slightly cleverer than me. Ponce

Both Fry and Morrissey are the english "odd balls", this pompous tradition goes back many centuries! Who really cares whether they are gay/bi/or hetero sexual? But in all fairness, the Northern queens are the worst!
