  • I am just getting things on Jake's web site that are not pictures. I shall have to utilise the mac even though it it is hacked, ya know.

But then, I have to cuz ...Wait unless someone can put up a link?

Nevermind, everyone hates me on this web site except like three people... And I do not think they are on line.

But then, why can I not get pictures? I just get like 10,9,8...countdown in a way.. No phone numbers, just plain numbers. Perhaps I should combine the massive combination of numbers and count sheep...The mystical Time Zone

Dial a cliche is on now.

    Bye

  • Wasn't Jake the ex-boxer who had a heroin problem, the subject of 'Sunny?'

Wasn't he also Morrissey's 'handler' during a brief part of the '90s?

Wasn't Jake also ex-communicated from Morrissey's inner circle when the drugs got in the way?

Am I just making this all up in my head?

    • I dont think he had a heroin problem -Sunny is rumoured to be about Alains friend or brother but its not certain about whom it actually is.
Yes Jake lived with Morrissey in his Camden home for a certain time period (prob around 94) as Jake stated in an interview 1998.
Why Jake was out of the Moz circle or at least wasnt seen anymore up til the beginnings of 95 til 2007 -I would think had different reasons than drugs.
I think the contact they have now is rather professional and on a friendship basis.. But I do think they had indeed a relationship in 93-94.
Morrissey stated,in an interview posted in the forums some time ago:Observer(26 Feb 95):"I have had an relationship which opened up a crucial area within me. There is something unstoppable about the Wilde story, and my own"
"A Walk On The Wilde Side", interview by MIchael Bracewell.
There is a pic of them both in the Forums from Fall 2008, where they hang out at a Dolls and the kicks gig. Jake looks much better nowadays than back in the early 90ties in my opinion.
The confusion about the "two Jakes"(there was only one) is adressed in the Guardian Topic on the Main Page.

    • Funny I always was under the impression "Sunny" was about Sonny Liston, the boxer who died of a heroin overdose.

  • Thats an amazing photographic series of Dennis Hopper.
Just wonderful. Some of the others are too and the grain on the black and white photos almost look like kodak.

    Lovely,

  • Love that last pic! And he's wearing a Superdry T shirt which is one of my fave clothing brands :) I must say he is looking great in these pics and they would work for new music absolutely.

  • No hooded top to be seen, if you look again you'll see it's simply a checked shirt he's wearing, a nice one too, and the 'hood' isn't a hood, it's his sunglasses hooked to his collar, and he's worn trainers many times.
