    The Rogue was a blast this Saturday night!
    The turn out was pretty amazing!! Better than I could have ever expected!! Rourke was very polite and very much on the quiet side... very professional about DJing and wasnt too wrapped up in the attention he was getting from fans!!

    Great fun and the music was brilliant!!

  • I'm not an Andy Rourke fan so I have no emotional investment in his behaviour. And I am *not* a fan of DJs (anyone who knows me knows that I despise the false pretense that what DJs do is somehow "art" when in fact it's grade 1 level math...at best).
    What transpired after Rourke's promoter/handler said "Please don't talk to Andy" is judged merely on human standards alone.
    First came the shit talk. I heard Andy Rourke talk ill about Edmonton, Calgary, Canada, and the people at both his shows, their inability to seperate "his current artistic direction" (like I said...a DJ doesn't have an 'artistic direction', and I am one so I should know) from his previous career as bass player with The Smiths, and how at least the swooning 'fangirls' make it worthwhile because how else would he fill venues WITHOUT his previous career in The Smiths??
    Rourke's promoter/handler/dicksucker lapped all this up and praised Andy (he called him "Andy" over and over, even when typical conversational structure deemed a pronoun would have sufficed...sweet fuck I hate namecheckers, and moreover you namecheck *later*, not to the persons face) for his level headedness and general cool-factor. Andy Rourke talks ill of The Smiths and fans of The Smiths Morrissey should be aware of this! Andy Rourke is not a nice person.

  • If Andy Rourke's upset that his only 'claim to fame' is a band that he was peripherally involved in that is now defunct- The Smiths, then he should NOT be blaming Smiths fans for that!! It makes me sick to see this level of abuse of priviledge in the music industry!!
    I agree Morrissey should be told what Andy Rourke is like!! Morrissey already knows Andy Rourke is dishonest.
    If The Smiths ever get back together I hope they find a new bass player. Andy Rourke only wants The Smiths to get back together for the money it could make him which isn't a good reason.
