  • This picture is so funny, I can't see Moz just roaming through the crowds without being mauled or something. Well hopefully he will also be at the show here in Los Angeles, at the Staples Center, since I am also going to that show.

  • I just looked at that picture and laughed so hard I nearly fell out of my chair.
That picture is NOT real. There's not even any debate to be had about it.

  • I mean morrissey. I'm laughing because I was thinking this morning about where Morrissey was these days and I had a vision of "Where's Waldo." Then I log in to see this picture.

hmm... wonder if i can find any porn convention photos...

  • Who could make Hitler seem like a bus conductor...

This so obviously a fake... and it is easy to see that the girl's hat covering Moz is used as a foreground to him. Good attempt, though.

    Easy to do in Photoshop.

  • I was at the U2 gig in question. Though the possbility of Morrissey being at a U2 concert is not that unlikely, I have to say that the photo is indeed a fake and that no-one would dress so dapper for a gig at Slane Castle for fear of a mud bath!

  • I just looked at the picture- and its a good thing because i needed a laugh. Ive gotta feeling this'll start some kinda game- with Moz being pasted into such scenes as walmarts, pizza huts, brothels, and other such places. The pathetic arse who actually took time away from his busy schedule of pooting the tune of god bless america should be caught, beaten, and finally strung up by his trousers- the fool

  • I bet moz doesn't stand the lyrics of u2, they're so universal & so meaningless in comparison with his other tastes in music, nico, siouxsie & the banshees, new york dolls, bowie.

        • Correction. Moz gave the award for Best Irish Band to U2 at the Hot Press Awards in Belfast in early 1998. 'Maladjusted' was released in the summer of '97 so to say he trying to get some exposure seems absurd. In his speech he said "this award goes to the very sexy U2." The programme was only shown on Northern Irish TV so viewing figures were never going to be big. I can also tell you that Moz and Bono sat together during the event and walked off stage together arm in arm after Moz handed over the award. In his acceptance speech Bono made reference to Morrissey's book about the New York Dolls and cited Johnny Thunders as an influence upoun himself as well.
It was a great night to be Irish. There we had Sinead O'Connor, Morrissey and U2, all Irish, all talented and all have achieved what they set out to do. Just because people make different kinds of music does not mean they cannot get along. I can tell you that Morrissey and Jim Kerr did know each other and got on well while the latter was married to Chrissie Hynde. I mean lets look no further than Morrissey's friendship with Dead Or Alive's Pete Burns! Morrissey and Jim Kerr and Bono may be poles apart but they would be far more charming company than the charmless peers that Morrissey has been pigeon-holed with, despite those charmless souls' obvious musical talent!

One thing I do know, if I would have been the one with that camera I wouldn't have taken a picture of those useless people and just catch Moz in the back, I would of pushed those two out of the way and just take a picture of the Moz Man, wouldn't you?
