Many thanks to Mimi for this detailed account of the Boz show in Dublin a couple weeks ago (5 photos included):

  • erm, did anyone make it on stage?
does Boz have his own personal "Julia"?
what shirt did he wear? and how many times did he change?
    did he hold a banana?
was the man-with-the-knife a reference to Jack the Ripper?
    did anyone get the setlist?
were there any Bozerabilia for sale?

very much thank you for the review.
    Love & custard,
    me.

    • Actually, I forgot to mention it but he did change once for the encore.... he returned on stage in what looked like a football shirt of supposedly some Irish team. I'd rather not speculate.

Hmm...the person that comes closest to being his "Julia" is probably me. I feel really silly now.

He never spoke to me during the shows though...

      =) Mimi

      If I wasn't a cat, I'd be a girl.
  • But not before I make a crack about the muzak version of The More You Ignore Me...

Operation Drum solo? He's worse than his boss. This is starting to scare me.

"I know nothing. I am nothing. I am one with my nothingness. I have no idea who you are. Hey, are those chocolate covered strawberries?"

I believe I saw a Boz Boorer CD at Cheapo CDs here in town. I stumbled across it looking for Techno music. The jewel case looked broken, the liner note had a coffee cup ring on his face, and it was marked down to $1.99....and that was brand new. Someone forgot to tell distribution that because it's called Cheapo CD's, you're not supposed to take the name seriously.

    I scare dead people.
  • Thanks Mimi, nice one.

But does this "little world tour" means that Boz is not currently recording a new album with the Fat Man form Los Angeles?

  • Good thing he was sitting down during his performance, it could have been like the Kill Uncle Tour, where he ran around every stage like he had ants in his pants.

I remember commenting when I saw Morrissey & crew on SNL, "He must have Boz on a short leash now."

    Nice summary Mimi,

  • I do.

Now try to hold your breath for 15 minutes, and you'll know why.
