Lyn Boorer writes:

Boz Boorer is performing a couple of shows, 1 in Los Angeles and 1 in Dublin which came about by some people who have wanted to hear the various styles he plays all in one show. Boz will perform, acoustically, selections of his work from 79 to 2001.

Boz will be performing solo and will give a small talk in between the numbers. He will start with material from his first band The Polecats and move up through various rockin line-ups he has been involved with. He will incorporate his musical contributions with artistes such as Morrissey, Adam Ant and the late great Kirsty MacColl. Also thrown in for good measure will be tracks written by other writers that may have inspired Boz in some way or just that he loves that particular piece. It will be a very relaxed evening which will make a change to the normal raucous affairs that he creates. Come along and join him & contribute to what will be a fantastic trip down Boz's musical memory lane, of the past 22 years.

Hey, Booz, start growing out a pony tail now. I'm rounding you up a large belt buckle, and some lyrics about the depths of your soul and the plight of a homeless woman named Screaming Mary.

sorry, that's not what I meant.

Too bad I can't see it. If I can't be there, at least let me be the first to make fun of it.

oops, I meant congratulations on 22 years of doing everyone and their mother.

um, you know what I mean...

  • Sounds like a wonderful evening of music; Too bad I'm geographically disadvantaged! Hmph! You'd think NYC would be considered for such an "event."

    The Rodeo Bar?
    Lakeside Lounge?
    The Bottom Line??

C'mon Boz, I can be your Eastcoast booking agent.

  • I just might book tickets from Montreal to LA to see this. If it means hearing Boz on an acoustic and being able to chat with him, that's worth while. A question for Mrs. Boorer: any chance that Martin will hit the East Coast at all? It might actually be worth his time to hit NYC.
