At 3pm (Eastern) on Tuesday, Jan. 9, Philadelphia's 88.5 WXPN will include a tribute to Kirsty MacColl on its excellent World Cafe program. They announced on the morning program today, and I called in to confirm the time. Those interested can catch it by logging into the live internet broadcast or by finding a local radio station which broadcasts the World Cafe via PRI by using the "Station Finder". WXPN is a public station with a genuine passion for music. David Dye is a staple of the station and carries not only vast knowledge, but also keen insights into music created in the past 40 years. His interviews and commentary are legendary here, and one can be assured of an interesting program. Again, that's 3pm (Eastern) on Tuesday, January 9! Additional links:

I taped this program and have a friend who has promised to make a WAV file out of it for me. I'll post a link for it as soon as that happens.
