This was originally intended to come out back in 1992, with the photo from EMI's 'Best of Morrissey' on the sleeve. I'd imagine a re-issue of Your Arsenal is coming :)

What is the point?

Who really wants to buy this? Again?

Who is going to buy this that doesn't already own it on many formats and previous re releases?

he's third studio album? Baffles me how people spell these days.

I feel confident that Morrissey will have live tracks or bonus material on this upcoming release! To me, this is a treat! In the USA, I feel that "Arsenal" was poorly publicized/promoted anyway.

This is just bizarre. Does Mozza really expect this to sell or get anywhere near the charts? I love the song, but a single release, after so long? What next?

looks Moz really hated Kill Uncle. He's already re-released viva hate and bona drag.

But irritated that I missed it on Lie To Me!! I've only just started watching the show and it's definitely one of the very few television shows that I love. And, of course they'd use one of his songs on the show. Only the best for the best ;)

But, anyway...as others are saying, I guess we'll have a new re-issue coming soon. One of his best, too!

I bet Moz is fuming at EMI churning out all this old stuff...he should release something new to overshadow these releases...perhaps a novelty record or something...

I'd love to know how much involvement Morrissey has in this reissue. I'm sure we'll hear his displeasure about in on True To You.

That said, did he sell his soul (and back catalog) to the devil? If this is being done without his approval, how come he gave up so much of his rights over his music? Money up front, I assume.

To release Glamorous Glue is such an "out of leftfield" notion. There's no motivation behind it (besides a quick payday for someone). I'd be happy with an album of Your Arsenal outtakes instead.

And let's really boil it down. How much money are these reissues generating? How many units are shifted? Is enough money made to make these releases profitable? How many copies of the 20-year-old Glamorous Glue sell, 10k? 20k? 25 at the most. I doubt that's going to save EMI from declining profit margins.

I suppose we can only hope for new artwork or new b-sides. Something to weasel me out of another $25 for the bundle.

It`s occurred to me that after 41 yrs on this planet, I never really knew the true definition of the word `pointless` until reading this.
