they performed DON'T MAKE FUN OF DADDYS VOICE.
He looked extremely happy (its LA duh) and he shook hands afterward. Some fans got to hug him :)
Lopez made several references and we ate them up. He said he nows has credibility since morrissey is performing on his show.
It airs tonight. Stretch out and wait.

Morrissey was beautiful and his voice was so smooth. It makes my heart ache that I can't be at the last two CA shows! I loved his facial expressions at the end after the song, and it was so nice that he got to shake hands with some of the audience. The three people who all hugged him at once - that was awesome! I want a Morrissey hug! It would do a world of good right now! Viva Morrissey! He's always well worth the wait on these shows!

He even had the nerve to refer to Morrissey as an "Icon" and as "one of my favorite performers." How stupid is that?

I had the chance to request tickets early on but didn't because of school finals (they always seem to get in the way of good stuff). To make matters worse, I live literally down the street from Warner Brothers, about five minutes away. However, after seeing Moz placed on the backburner, I'm glad I didn't go. I probably would have been arrested for throwing a water bottle at George Lopez's fuckin head.

Yea, that's what I thought. The man is brilliant, his voice has aged but it is still soothing and wonderful. His lyrics will forever surpass any other and cannot be matched. His stage presence is often imitated and not perfected.
It is hard to explain unless you actually connect with him and obviously those who judge, well you don't. We'll that's enough of that. Thanks

  • I am replying to the accusations that I am not a "Real Fan." What is a real fan, someone who doesn't voice their opinion. I have been to more Morrissey concerts than most real fans, begining in the in the Smiths days in the 80's. But I can't tell you all the lyrics to "Golden Lights", because I don't care for that song. I did not realize he sang "Don't make fun of daddy's voice" in spanish, because when I first heard it, I thought it was crap, so I didn't stick around to hear the ending of the song. That song has to be be his worst song of his solo career.

Second, never did i claim to be a real fan in my posting. I'm not in high school, I don't need to be labeled. I was just voicing my opinion. Therefore, if you want to say that I am not a real fan, that's ok.

Just get your shit straight, before you open your hole.

  • Morrissey must be delusional if he thinks “Daddy’s voice” is a good song. I’m as much of a fan as the next person on this site and enjoy 99.9% of his catalog but D’sV is a mediocre track at best. I understand he’s promoting Swords but he could have chosen something more appealing to the masses (and don’t kid yourself that he’s not interested in gaining new fans). I don’t even think existing fans are all that fond it. Where did it rank on the voting on the forum? I know it happens to every artists as they get older but he’s really out of touch if he believes D’sV is going to shift more units of Swords. He obviously thinks highly of this song as he’s even closed out shows with it…Pasadena 07 comes to mind.

Fantastic that he chose to play Daddy’s Voice, which was criminally passed up for a single in favor of the very weak LMKY. Last night’s particular performance of the song was decent, but certainly not extraordinary. Was heartwarming to see Moz not only dole out some handshakes afterwards, but also actually hugging some fans.

To those of you critisizing his age: i challenge you to come back here at age 50 looking and being as robust as our Moz is...a lot of 50 somethings i've encountered look like they've been left out in the sun to cure too long or have been excessively stomped on or something.
