Just watched Morrissey perform on Late Night, which will air this evening. He performed "Black Cloud," with he and the whole band all dressed in black. The band & Morrissey himself sounded great and the energy was high.

He performed "Black Cloud." He and the band were all dressed in black and sounded great. Morrissey seemed to be in a good mood and looked amazing.

  • I don't have cable so someone please You Tube this thing. 'Black Cloud' is one of the best Moz songs to come out in a long time. I love the line "... and I can sink much lower than usual.." That line alone makes the song for me- great stuff- like the old Moz!

  • ...Something Is Squeezing My Skull is.

Morrissey stated this during a few of his most recent shows, and I believe Janice Long said the same thing at some point.

Moz and the lads really kicked ass on Jimmy Fallon. It was a quick, clean, strong take on "Black Cloud" and they all looked great, Moz was in top form. His vocals were getting a bit drowned out at first but he took it up a notch. I find it amazing how he can really hit one out of the park like that and then appear so shy when it comes time for a handshake from the tv host. But that's why I love him!

  • That was perfect. That lasted for like ten seconds compared to the last concert. I can’t wait to see Morrissey in the posher part of town, as I always do. And by the way, why the hell do they always put them last? You have to wait the whole show on all of these and I’m not interested in Regis Philbin, that tattoo lady and whatever the hell the other guys name was. What’s his face.

All that matters to me is Morrissey. He is the only thing that matters to me. Because, because he gets it.

Literally love this, tonight’s performance of Black Cloud. Morrissey, and you know what I’m going to say next just as I ALWAYS do -- he looks, looked sooooo beautiful. Have I mentioned this before. Also, Boz looked even more handsome tonight than in Buffalo.

I don’t care if I keep saying this about Morrissey, because it’s just the truth.
At least, I, I -- can understand me.

    Thank You and Good Night.

  • Great song of YOR. Hey, I've seen Morrissey 4 times but I'm really digging the tightness of his new band. They sound awesome. It's great that Boz is still with the band though. I think the t-shirts thing is pretty lame though. I prefer the Quarry tour when the whole band wore suits.

And what's with all the Quarry hating around here. YATQ is one of Moz's best fucking albums.

Are the new drummer and bass player brothers? I know they both are last named Walker and look alike. Just wondering....

  • Hmmmm.....

When Morrissey was on the Jimmy Kimmel show, the fallout from the performance was staggeringly negative; "He can't sing in tune anymore", "He should have on-stage monitors", "The cough at the end is a sign his voice is past it" etcetera etcetera.
Coupled with the following cancellations of some of his gigs, we were led to believe that the end of 'Morrissey The Performer' was upon us.

Having just watched the Jimmy Fallon performance here, to me the voice is strong, the physique is healthy, the disposition is positive, the look is cool, the band look and sound strong.

The waves of rancid piddle that followed the Kimmel show have hopefully been flushed way.

To the naysayers who belched their negative pessimism all over this place....a pox on all your houses!!!

Anyway, good show but the introduction by Fallon was a little disrespectful. He was introducing Morrissey and then started laughing with his guest, who I never seen before about, kid's name. Anyway, it went on and on until he finally mentioned Morrissey.
