For anyone who hasn't been to the area it gives an interesting insight into the "real" Salford and the area of Ordsall where the Salford Lads Club is located.
Towards the end of the piece it features the Salford Lads Club itself and the good work it does within the Ordsall community. There's also a nice pan round The Smiths Room, accompanied by "There is a light...".
As the journalist rightly says:
"No visit to Salford would be complete without a tour of Salford Lads Club"

Yes it’s a really nice piece, would get a bit if auctioned I reckon, possibly towards getting the damn roof fixed, hint, though it would probably take a lot of shirts to make a million.
At the risk of incurring the wrath of Moz solo for name dropping, I was lucky enough to be in the company of Jeremy Vine during the broadcast on Sunday in Salford. He was a really great guy and loves the Smiths. I’d always had the impression he did from listening to his Radio 2 show, but after him quizzing me on obscure Smiths lyrics, I got the idea.
Have a look at the film and blow away any pre concieved ideas you have of Salford. Whats going on at SLC due to the the help of Smiths fans visiting and buying shirts and contributing to the Smiths room has given the place a great positive feeling, which the media is starting to take notice of.
Anyone who has been can be really proud of themselves.
Sorry, lecture over.
