Morrissey plays secret gig at Reading! (+ photo) - NME.com MORRISSEY has played a secret gig in preparation for his MAIN STAGE slot later tonight (August 28) at the READING leg of the CARLING WEEKEND. Dressed in a grey tweed suit and a blue New York Dolls T- shirt he performed three songs from new album ’You Are The Quarry’, kicking off with current single ‘First Of The Gang To Die’ followed by ‘The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores’. Ending with ‘I Like You’ he joked that “nobody pogoed, very disappointing”. Morrissey plays on the Main Stage before The White Stripes tonight and rumours circulating the site suggest he’s planning “huge surprise” and fans should get there from the start. A source to Morrissey said he’d been rehearsing tracks he hadn’t played for 20 years.
